Hophead22 (265), Redlands, California, USA Oct 12, 2008 22oz bottle. Thanks to Steven(NYbeer) for the bottle. Very nice dark, dark red color. Dark roasty aroma, slightly roasty aroma. Very smooth drinker, especially for the strength. Tasty brew timsilvia32 (254), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Oct 12, 2008 Molasses brown pour, off cream head. Not a lot of carbonation. Smells of roasted tones, coffee and malts. Tastes similarly, some sweet chocolate and toffee. Finishes a little sweet but clean. Something a little metallic tasting? Could be a little bit heavier bodied. Still a good strong porter and probably the only readily available one on the list of top ones. maugus4ever (49), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Oct 7, 2008 Pours very dark brown/black with a quickly dissipating light tan head. Nice sweet aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, and some coffee. This is a very tasty baltic porter, but it is thinner than I was expecting. Sweet with a nice roasty flavor. I’d recommend trying it. 00cobraR (972), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Oct 7, 2008 Nice brew.
