3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 GregClow (2645) - Toronto, - MAY 7, 2006
Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry & tupalev - courtesy of tupalev. Ruby-brown colour with a dirty tan head. Aroma is mild and slightly stale, with an odd combination of roast and sour notes. Body is thin, especially for a so-called "Imperial". Flavour is fairly sweet, with notes of dark caramel and molasses, and a nice roasty finish. Not too bad, but a bit disappointing.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Patrickctenchi (31) - columbus, Indiana, USA - FEB 8, 2012
Almost black, small tan head. Nose is Peat and Fruit. Chocolate, coffee, and I think plum or raisin notes in there. Liked it, very smooth, not too bitter. Fruits pop up more as it warms, along with the aroma..Quite drinkable and pleasant.

Bottle, thanks scott, pours nice dark black, the aroma is pretty bland and the flavour is a bit weak, it has a good body and overall it is drinkable
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 thebusstop (122) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 19, 2012
I really enjoyed the funky bouquet on this one. It started with lots of soy sauce, followed by savory beef and some aged cheese. There was also some underlying cola with hints of cherry. The flavor was less exciting, but still robust and had a lot to offer. The finish was on the watery side.

(bottle) Everything an Imperial Porter should be; rich roasted malt flavor with substance but not too much to session.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Kuzo (108) - Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2011
Pours very dark brown, almost black, and looks almost watery. Nose is lite but there is chocolate and molasses. Taste has some roast and sweet malts with a molasses finish. Mouthfeel is light and smooth with little carbonation. I was expecting a whole lot more from from this beer and it just wasn’t there. I would definitely drink it again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if I had options.

12 oz bottle, nice dark brown/black appearance. Aroma is malty with some sweetness noted. Pretty nondescript taste, palate is much weaker than i had expected, but just not enough bite behind it for an imperial porter.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a small tan head, but it stayed as a thin coating on the surface for some time. Aroma was coffee and nutty, the malts were strong. Very balanced, sweet but bold, with coffee and nut flavors, and a hint, just a hint of dark fruit, like plum. I really enjoyed this very much and will get this again for sure.
