beaconstreet (810), Washington DC, USA Sep 4, 2006 Nothing out of the ordinary here. A standard IPA without many hops, surprisingly for a brewpub.
Sparky27 (430), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bomber courtesy of Santa, aka yobdoog. Pours a hazy amber with 2 finger beige head and great lacing. Nose is pine, grass and malt. Taste is much the same with a slight bitter finish that lingers for awhile. Medium mouth feel. Definitely an milder East Coast IPA, but a nice and drinkable. Thanks Trevor! Bungalo22 (222), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Jul 19, 2008 Poured from a 12 oz. bottle a nice amber or dark orange color with a full head. I am hardly ever disapointed with Southhampton’s brews and I wasn’t here. It was quite hoppy with a hint of citrus yet balanced as a malt backbone came through. It had some punch for a ’normal’ IPA. What’s that in America anymore? iowaherkeye (1367), Back in Iowa City!, Iowa, USA Jul 14, 2008 12oz bottle, no date from riversideAK, thank you sir! Clear burnt orange with a one finger off-white head that lasted a minute before fading to a ring. This isn’t terribly cold, but I’m not getting a whole helluva lot out of the aroma. That said, I’m picking up on some resiny pine and earthy caramel malts. Flavor had a bit more sweet caramel than the aroma led on. Bitterness peaked around a 3 in the semi-dry finish. Light creamy carbonation with a medium body. Pretty boring--yes, it may be an IPA, but that’s about it. morrdt (546), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Jul 9, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice amber/copper color with a light head. Aroma is nice with hops and some citrus notes. Taste is hoppy with a bit of malt and a little citrus/flower. This was a good beer. mansquito (576), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Jul 6, 2008 Off-white head that leaves lacing. Orange amber color. Citrusy, piny hops in the aroma. Moderate hops that stick from front to finish. Little citrusy. Medium thickness, but it lets you know that it is there.
