A light-bodied yet flavorful Northern English-style ale. Brewed with imported Maris Otter malt and UK Fuggle hops. A true "session" ale!

just found my notes from this. hmm....so after a week in new york i snuck away from my friends at niagra looking for a refreshing tasty brewed beverage of the local type....that wasnt broklyn lager...damnit i drank way way too much of that while i was there. i was very excited to see hop devil around the corner.i was even more excited to see a south hampton tap as found a stool. as hungover as i was i really wanted something fantastic. i was ready for anything. if nothing else let it be the ipa. i was fairly disapointed to find out it was a brown ale but the bartender assured me it was very rare. so i decided to give it a try. dont get me wrong it was a good brew....but it was a brown ale and im not a huge fan of the brown ales. light brown in color with a small tan head. aroma nutty roasted malt. flavor bittersweet roasted nutty malt. light to medium body with moderate carbonation. solid brown ale. but.....it was still just a brown ale. but it was a great beer to get the night going.

Draft at Half Time. Poured an amber body with a small tan head. Aroma was carmel and toasted malts. Flavor was toasted almond and carmel. Nice balance but not very exciting.

on tap @ DBA, copery amber with a tiny head that disapated quickly. Really light in body. Aroma clearly of almonds.. taste is full of almond flavor but a bit burnt.. hint of something metalic. not my favorite.

Tap @ Barcade. Amber color with a small head that quickly went away. Nice roasted nut aroma. The taste is full of nuts, sweet malts and caramel. Light enough to be a very good session beer. Mellow sweet flavors are subtle enough to keep on drinking.
