4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Waterfront Ale House Manhattan: Pours a nice hazy light golden with a dense and well retained white head. Extremely clean dry aroma with crackery pils notes and a touch of noble hop vegetal notes. Lively yet creamy feel on the palate. Clean flavor throughout. Very very dry, with a firm crackery pils malt body, and a long peppery mild vegetal fresh noble hop bitterness. A fantastic pils that I can session all day.

I dont know if its because southampton is such a hoity-toity place that i automatically have a stigma against the brewery, but slowly but surely i am coming around after this and their double white. This was a snap decision buy before going to a party on july 4th, and it was such a hit that we had to go out and get another 3 six packs. Great flavor and color thats very refreshing on a hot day. this will probably get me into more of the southampton beers.

Fairly middle of the road. Tried it because they started brewing it at the old Rock brewery in Latrobe! Because they use different hops every year, this is one I will continue to try. This years batch had too much of a floral hop finish for me, but if you like that...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle, purchased in PA. Pours a bright, effervescent, straw-golden color with just the slightest haze (surprised this isn’t hazier); creamy, mixed-bubbled white head with excellent retention and lacing; solid-looking pour. Slightest amount of skunk at first, but this quickly dissipates; solid mineral and citrus bitterness in the aroma; very soft pils malt at the core, and generally clean; nicely hop-forward and quite crisp. Medium-light body; lively carbonation; lightly creamy presence in the mouth; the mineral and citrus bitterness is quite zesty; medium levels of hop bitterness and flavor; solid stuff; light Pils maltiness, showing hints of honey and a light graininess; pretty dry, nicely bitter and zesty, and (aside from the touch of skunk) quite clean and well-done. Tasty, modestly hoppy Pils; I’d like to try this again, fresher. Medium finish: mineral bitterness, toastiness, nicely dry.

Had this one while I was camping. Really dry and refreshing. Lots of great hoppy goodness. Fairly dry. I’d love to have this around all of the time.

From a bottle poured a golden color with a fair amount of head. Nice bitter malty flavor with a lingering finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Finally an American brewed pils that I can really sink my teeth into. It’s crisp grassy hops and clean finish bring you back again and again. So very refreshing which is my #1 criteria when downing a pils on a 95 degree evening. Think I’ll stick with it all night.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma is malty, grassy, crackery. The appearance is gold, only lightly hazy (unexpected for an "unfiltered" beer, white head. The flavor is grass, crackers. The finish is noble hop bitterness. The beer is medium in body, lots of carbonation. Decent, not amazing by any means. Of course, I’m not a big fan of the style. No obvoius defects, however.

On tap at the Publick House. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a medium to large creamy white head. Grainy and crackery, soft dusty wheat with a touch of lemon. Medium bodied, crisp and smooth. Nice crackery dry bitter finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Citrus and grass in the nose, dusty and dense, lightly foggy but has some bright punch to cut through it all. Big score! Very bright, very light yellow body, strong carbonation and a sudsy white head. I love bright, super pale pilsners like this, though BJCP judges would knock it for being too light. Taste is citric and grassy with medium-strong bitterness, very faint chalk. Aftertaste is lightly bready and still bitter. Lightish medium body with tons of carbonation and lingering crisp bubbling. Soft water but a great bite! Clean and smooth, perfectly repeatable summer pils. A big fan of this one!
