COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Visit an Old World lager brewery and the brewmaster will insist that you enjoy a "keller" beerdirect from the aging tank. To a brewerthis is beer at its purest: unfiltered, nuanced and gently carbonated. Southampton Keller Pils is just such a brew. And each year we make it with a different hop variety to create a unique interpretation of the pilsener style. Enjoy!

12 ounce bottle thanks to Dallas. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is light corn and malts, some spices. The flavor is a nice easy Pils with a big spicy hop and earthy sweet dry malts.

2012 bottle from Beers of the World. Cloudy gold with a low head. Nice malty nose, light hops. Full, rich malt flavor, great hop character—noble hop flavor with loight lemon. Very creamy and full body. Soft bitterness. An excellent kellerbier, very authentic. One of the better I’ve had from the US.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. This is a fantastic pilsner. Spicy hop character, sweet pilsner malt, nice and grainy. Very clear.

Draft at Queens Kickshaw. Skunky lemon hop, yellowish body, white head. Pretty traditional looking Pils, but hoppier, funkier body. Heavy, OK.

12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden with a tiny white head. Aroma of very dry grassy hops, some wet horse blanket, fresh baked bread and some yeast. Flavour of dried grassy hops, freshly baked bread, and some yeasty notes. Finishes on the dry hoppy, bready notes. Very refreshing and well-brewed pilsner.

12 oz. bottle from Secret Santa. Thanks man! Pours a hazy straw yellow color with touches of orange. Aroma of fresh baked bread, mild yeast. Some earth, green hops, mild yeast. Flavor is yeasty, nice fresh baked bread and dough flavors. Present, medium bitter hops. Finishes nice and hoppy. A lovely beer that I wish I had access to on the regular.

Poured hazy yellow with a smallish head. Faint aroma of grass and some spices. There is a little thirst quenching bitterness with a smooth finish. A well made beer, but not a favorite for me.

Pours a cloudy, hazy straw yellow with floaties in it. The head was initially large, but faded to a ring in seconds. Aroma of straw, citrus, sunshine. Perhaps a little yeast. The taste feels very authentic... As if this is a home brew from a small town in Germany. Noble hops, light malts. Dry finish. I’m very impressed by this beer. Excellent and deserving of it’s high style rating. Should this perhaps be classified as a kellerbier?
