Visit an Old World lager brewery and the brewmaster will insist that you enjoy a "keller" beer direct from the aging tank. To a brewer this is beer at its purest: unfiltered, nuanced and gently carbonated. Southampton Keller Pils is just such a brew. And each year we make it with a different hop variety to create a unique interpretation of the pilsener style. Enjoy!

Hazy, honey-gold pour topped by a nice ring of thin white foam. Nose is chamomile-like flowers, dried lemons, and wholesome grain. Flavor is lightly bready with yeasty notes of honeyed malt. Body is light, and the soft carbonation makes it creamy smooth on the palate. Fresh sweet-grass and dried flowers cling to a subtle doughy quality which leads to a lightly bitter and lingering finish. Honest, wholesome, drinkable, and thoroughly enjoyable. This is just my kind of beer right now.

Southampton Keller Pils has a medium, off-white head, some lacing, and a cloudy, bubbly, golden appearance. The aroma is of dank, musty, sugary grain, and the flavor is very hoppy, with a gentle bitterness. One will pick up medium-roasted malt, hay, grass, sugar, and even lemon with this beer. Mouthfeel is medium, and Southampton Keller Pils finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, mostly dry, and highly drinkable. A sure winner, which I unquestionably recommend! RJT

Hands-down the best pils I’ve ever had - everything about this beer was just what I wanted - bright and drinkable - light and refreshing. Fantastic.

#3 Yall, 12 oz. bottle

Appearance: Pours a semi cloudy, pastel yellow gold. Within the body, you will see noticeable rising carbonation, and sitting atop is a dense foamy white head.

Aroma: Fresh cut straw, Eurohops and a little bit of yeasty bread notes.

Taste: An even mixture of bread crust and spicy hops, husky grain, followed by metallic notes finishing with bitterness a sour twang.

Mouthfeel: Crisp, refreshing.

Overall: A great summer drinker with some character. The hops really shined in this fresh beer.

A very good grassy hoppy pils with clean crisp biscuity malt character. High drinkability, high flavor. Not the absolute best lager I’ve had this year but definitely one of the better ones.

Finally an American brewed pils that I can really sink my teeth into. It’s crisp grassy hops and clean finish bring you back again and again. So very refreshing which is my #1 criteria when downing a pils on a 95 degree evening. Think I’ll stick with it all night.

On tap, Al’s of Hampden. Clear light yellow body with a small fizzy bright white head that fell to a thin covering. Great fresh hop aroma with light and airy bready pils malt. A little grassy, a little floral. Nice crisp floral hops grab you up front, fading to a nicely bitter, softly malty finish. Mouthfeel is light and airy with just the slightest doughy clinginess on the finish. This was pretty awesome! Going to have to try some bottles now.

Pale straw colour with a fairly hazy appearance. The nose is loaded with zesty noble hop character over a very light, lean crackery pilsner malt base. Crackery and dry with a great floral/spicy hoppiness. Lean and very thirst quenching. Along with Sam Adams Noble Pils – this is a great interpretation of these styles.

12 oz bottle; big thanks to NYBeer for sending me a bunch of this; pours deep, dense gold with thin, egg shell white head fading to a thin film; fresh cut grass, dried lemons, crackery malt and stale grain; light, creamy mouthfeel goes down super easy with dried flowers and lemony grass in the finish; crisp, clean and creamy smooth; light honey, a touch of bitterness from dried hops, nuts and dried flowers; crackery pils malt, light honey and creamy dough; perfectly balanced mouthfeel and pretty much everything you want in an east drinking beer; simple, clean and flavorful; yum
