Fratto (670), Arlington, Texas, USA Nov 4, 2009 Bottle thanks to Cavie. Very pumpkin! and spice. Taste is sadly not as strong as the aroma. Dry aftertaste. Soonah (900), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Nov 3, 2009 Poured clear and copper with virtually no head or lacing. The aroma is mostly cinnamon and clove. The flavor is dominated by clove with a bit of sweet sugars coming through. Hard to find a flavor I would call pumpkin in there. Spicy and predictable but not really pumpkin. The body was thin with a dry finish. DrinkEmUpJones (14), USA Nov 1, 2009 Fairly strong aroma with hints of pumpkin (go figure), cinnamon, vanilla, and clove. Amber color that is pretty clear in appearence. Thin lacing with a medium sweetness and body. Beer has little to no bitterness or sourness. This beer is a great staple for what a October beer should be. Cavie (1318), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Nov 1, 2009 Bottle courtesy of Cletus. Neon orange coloring. Lovely pumpkin aroma. Some spice is also prevalent on the nose. Taste has pumpkin flavoring with autumn spices. A little off centered but some interesting flavors. Thought provoking. simonbilyk (42), Maine, USA Oct 31, 2009 12oz. Golden, slightly orange, crystal clear. Full on spicy aroma, vanilla especially. Hops come through in the aroma also. Rounded but ever so slightly more pointed then other pumpkin ales in flavor due to stronger hop presence. Pumpkin/spice/malt profile is what you would expect but the extra flavor hops are a nice addition. Yay beer! rugbydude05 (280), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Oct 31, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep rusty orange color, moderate head. Aroma is sweet and malty, not as prominent as I would have imagined. Taste is spicy and kind of doughy with high malt and vegetable character. As advertised, does taste like pumpkin pie. Palate is smooth, body is full. Not too overpowering or sweet so its a good option to pair with any food. Slipstream (735), USA Oct 31, 2009 Updated: Nov 5, 2009On tap at Capone’s. This is a fairly light pumpkin. It tastes like a marzen with a little pumpkin, ginger, and clove. Tried it again, in a growler from Whole Foods, and this time it poured out with a big fluffy head. Mediocre aroma, and not very spicy. A touch of malty sweetness, a little brown sugar, and some mellow hops. Pretty good.
