Aroma is sweet artificial fruit juice, cranberries? Tastes fairly bland with the obligatory nutmeg, fairly strong ginger & light hopping. Body is lightly carbonated and thin. Can’t really say this does much for me, but it is well-balanced - nothing offensive. Thanks to jjpm74 for the trade! alobar (1015), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of spice-cinnamon and nutmeg-with a flavor of spice-cinnamon, pumpkin and some malts. One of the best in this style that I’ve had. Very drinkable. cgarvieuk (4171), Edinburgh, Scotland

I don’t like pumpkin ales, but every year I make myself try one or two just to confirm my tastebuds have not evolved. This was my guinea pig beer this year. No, I still hate them. Tons of cinnamon and nutmeg...both of which I can tolerate in hot coffee or a warm danish, but beer...ICK, no. Really sweet, too. This one actually did remind me of the pumpkin creme desert thing my wife makes. The dessert is delicious, the beer...not so much. Rciesla (3600), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

All sampled as 5oz pours. This one tasted like real extract and a bit like chemical pumpkins. Least favorite of the night. crazyvin (1250), New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2008 A nice mahogany body with a slightly off-white head. Aroma was of strong pumpkin pie notes. Cinnamon and nutmeg were strong as far as the spice notes. Flavor seemed to have a brown sugar quality to it. A nice smooth finsih. cakanator (41), Northampton, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 11, 2008 One of my favorite pumpkin beers that has just enough pumpkin flavor and spices to not be watery. Great orange red color. Nose is better than pallet which is a let down to some, but as my first official fall beer to the season I liked it. Pumking is better but this will do.
