jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Apr 4, 2008 Nice shade of amber coloured body with ruby highlights and a thinnish tan head. Aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, coriander seed and yeast. Medium-bodied; Mild malty flavour with some nuts and caramel most noticeable. Aftertaste shows pumpkin, nutmeg and some other light spices. Overall, a pretty mild pumpkin beer with some good flavours, just not enough of them. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 04-April-2008. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 26, 2008 Bottled. Thanks to ante.
Hazy dark orange colour with medium sized head. Pumpkin sweetness, along with cardamom and nutmeg in aroma. Light malty and light bodied, with spices. Cardamom and pumpkin sweetness.
LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Mar 18, 2008 Cold 22oz bottle: Pours a hazy dark orange color with a medium sized frothy ivory head. Aroma and taste are of sweet malt, pumpkin and spice (cinnamon, nutmeg). Light to medium bodied and crisp with good carbonation. Ending is lightly malty and sweet with distinct pumpkin flavor. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Mar 18, 2008 Bomber: Pours a hazy dark orange with a thin white head, aroma has nutmeg and cinnamon with some pumpkin. Thin bodied with a fizzy texture, starts and ends sweet with a spicy ending. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 15, 2008 Courtesy of Degarth. Thanks Joe, I’ve been wanting to try this one for a while. Red pour, cinnamon colored with an impressive 1 finger head and good lacing. Nose is fantastic - cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin spice and flesh, allspice and some vanilla bean hints. Nothing artificial or metallic here, which is a problem that plague many pumpkin beers. Smells fresh and natural. Flavor is very good as well, a small step below the aroma, but still great and again very natural tasting. Medium bodied, very creamy and easy to drink. Average carbonation. Lengthy finish, spices and pumpkin flesh, finishing with a blast of nutmeg and cinnamon. Not as good as Pumking, but certainly the second best pumpkin beer I have ever had. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Mar 12, 2008 Courtesy of Degarth. Pours hazy orange with gold edges and thin white head. The aroma is pumpkin pie filling, cinnamon, pie crust and faint maltiness. The taste ushers in cinnamon spice along with mild pumpkin punctuated by above average carbonation. I get mild even flavors fairly well blended and not too bright unlike several pumpkin offerings I’ve tried. Madsnp (611), Odense C, Denmark Mar 7, 2008 Bottle. Deep golden colour with a small white head. Aromas like cinnamon, vanilla and ginger. Taste is sweet like caramel, but watery. JensenTaster (1585), Denmark Mar 4, 2008 (on bottle, thanx to Yngwie and Gunnfryd) Orange, white head. Pumkin, cinnamon and cloves to the nose. Whiped cream mouth, odd feeling of grains too, ike flakes in it? Thin bodied and a short, tart finish.
