6 pack of 12 oz. bottles picked up at Greens Liquor Store on Ponce De Leon. Very clear. Holy shit, this thing is transparent. Head fades away rather quickly. Dark copper color. Strong smell of cinnamon. I am taken back by the cinnamon flavor; it is a very pungent beer. Pumpkin and spices dominate the aroma. Wow, this beer smells pretty damn good; a very aromatic beer. Nice strong pumpkin and cinnamon spice beer. Very spicy beer. I am actually pleased with the taste of this beer. I know it seems a bit artificial, but I think this has a nice clean spice flavor. The beer doesn’t have that creamy type of texture I would hope for, but it has a decent palate. Overall, I appreciate the spices the most.

2009 GABF Friday. I feel compelled to rate this despite my dislike for this beer. Ugh. Perhaps this batch went bad? Vegetal, unbalanced, light on pumpkin flavor. The spices clash, like a pumpkin pie with a couple ingredients left out by accident, and plastic thrown in the fermenter.

Pumpkin aroma with a slight amount of vinegar. Clear orange color with a very small white airy head. Mild spicy pumpkin in the beginning that fades in the finish.

Pours a clear dark orange with nice amount of froathy offwhite head. Aroma is sweet pumpkin pie with cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor is not over the top but rather very nice and balanced. Good sweet pumpkiny base that doesn’t dominate, some spices, and a dryer finish. Overall, pretty good.

12 oz. bottle here in 2009. Earthy-spicy nose with pumpkin spice but no really vegetable, and some light vanilla. Pale copper body with a quickly-fading sudsy head. Medium-full body, dry and very earthy with solid spiciness, a little nutmeg and cinnamon, and just a tad wee Biss o’ punkin. Not over-the-top with the spices, sort of a nut-brown amber down and dirty with gritty highlights. Easily one of the better of this style I’ve had, and might be the most or second-most repeatable of them all. Freakin’ delicious - great job, Phil!

12oz bottole. clear orange with no head. nutmeg, bubblegum, cinnamon aroma. the palate is light and refreshing with moderate carbonation. flavors of a mild biscuity malt with cinnamon, bubblegum, and nutmeg. i could probably drink a few of these...most pumpkin beers are good for only one or two IMO. highly quaffable.

12oz bottle. Pours like a Marzen, glowing copper orange with a small fine fizzy white froth 3.5. Aroma is a bit sharp, burnt grass, weed, bitter metallic, nice pumpkin, cardamom?, lesser nutmeg and cinnamon, those hops add such a funky edge. Flavor follows exactly, hoppy grassy weed-like, followed by sweet caramel and pumpkin finishing heavily spiced but very clean, easily one of the cleanest pumpkin ales I’ve tried, long nutmeg and cinnamon finish and aftertaste. Wonderful body, medium, very crisp fine but still somewhat soft carbonation, clean. "South Hampton Pumpkin Ale is not over-the-top with spices...," well it’s pretty well spiced... This really tastes like an excellent Marzen with a touch of pumpkin and spice. If I wasn’t told this was an Ale, I would think it was a lager, it is that clean.

Bottle. Pours an orangish amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is full of spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg with some pumpkin. A bit of a metallic taste as well as all of the notes from the aroma. Aftertaste is a bit water downed.
