Nose is dirty malt with some light pumpkin spice notes. Palate is thin and fizzy. Flavors of stale pumpkin pie and some light cinnamony flavors. yobdoog (1426), Woodridge NY, New York, USA May 25, 2009 Overall a very enjoyable pumpkin. Nice spices but not too earthy. Not too much actual pumpkin but there is some nice sweetness, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, nutmeg. I love pumpkin pie and this is a great tribute to a classic pie. stobbe74 (655), Denmark May 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours an orange beer with an offwhite head. The aroma has ginger, vegetable and some yeast. The flavor is ginger, cinnamon and spices. The palate is very spiced, maybe a little too much. Overall a very spiced beer. lamas (709), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA May 3, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a thin light-tan head. Aroma features quite a bit of cinnamon to go with the Allspice, caramel, wet cardboard, and hints of soy sauce. Medium-bodied. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and a good deal of caramel upfront taste-wise. Finishes with a crisp biscuitiness. Definitely aged and way beyond its prime. I’d really like to try a fresh bottle. tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Feb 25, 2009 65 cl bottle at Skallerup Klit. Brown/dark orange color, fine off-white head. Aroma is spices/herbs and floral sweetness. Flavor is sweet, floral, spicy and citric. Dry finish. BlackForestCO (819), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Feb 8, 2009 Bottle from EyeDrinkAle, thanks once again Mike! Poured a bright orange-copper color with a thin, bubbly off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin, spice (cinnamon and nutmeg), pie crust, and a hint of vanilla. Smooth, somewhat bland entry leads carries into a lightly sweet maltiness with some pumpkin flavor that transitions into a moderate sweet spiciness (cinnamon and nutmeg) that finishes lightly bitter. Low carbonation and moderate mouthfeel. Just seems a bit to bland and uninteresting. Nothing offensive, just nothing to get excited about.
