This was like kissing a pretty girl - aromatic and sweet on the lips. Spicy, sweet cake aroma. Hazy orange. Gingerbread. 100% gingerbread flavor. Pumpkin becomes evident in the middle, towards the finish. Finishe a bit pepper, allspice. Really, it’s pretty good for a style that can go very wrong. On tap, Blind Tiger, NYC.

tap at pizzera paradiso in DC. pours orange with a flamy off-white head. big spicy nose-cinnamon, pumpkin (light veggie) almost like a freshly tilled garden, pumpkin cut open. good balance of true pumpkin flavors and the spices. big cinnamon flavors-allspice, cinnamon, toffee malt, almost burnt note as well. toasted cinnamon bread finish, like a good pumpkin bread. medium body with a surupy feel. very solid!

Clear bronze, with a smallish head. Nice aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and pumpkin. Flavor is pretty much the same, although it seems a bit thin. I like how there is some actual pumpkin flavor and not just a bunch of spices assaulting the palate.

Sampled side by side with the Weyerbacher and liked the weyerbacher a lot better. This one pours a light orange with an ok lasting head, and some lacing. Aroma is of bland pumpkin spice- cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, with some other off phenols. Body and flavor is surprisingly light with more spicing, not as oily or rich as the weyerbacher. Finsih is li8ghtly bitter and dry. Slightly above average for a pumpkin ale, but not great.

Bottle. Brownish, tad red, with small, off-white head. Aroma is faint, sweet malt. Flavor is very nice--with spice, good amounts of pumpkin flavor and a slight bitter aftertaste, hard to believe the ABV on this one, but it is a nice beer.

Thanks for sharing, Weepie! The body is dark ornage red with a yellowish khaki head. The aroma was pumpkin with strong nutmeg. Pretty straightforward in the simple aroma. The taste was pumpkin rind with some nutmeg. There was also a Grape Nuts character. A nicely made brew.

clear dark copper, whispy beige head, strong pumpkin aroma that dominates the trace of cinamon, good pumpkin flavor, nice sweetness, just enough cinamon and spices to add complexity without taking over,

sweet cinamon aroma and flavor, enough pumpkin to provide a backbone, pretty balanced between the pumpkin and spices upon warming

A nice mahogany body with a slightly off-white head. Aroma was of strong pumpkin pie notes. Cinnamon and nutmeg were strong as far as the spice notes. Flavor seemed to have a brown sugar quality to it. A nice smooth finsih.
