| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2006 Pours an amber with very small off-white head. Aroma is nice of sweet malts, toffee and cinnmon toast. Predominantly sweet upfront, nutmeg spicyness and only a touch of pumpkin. The finish is surpiringly dry and hoppy, more so than I expected. A bit thin in body. Overall not great, Weyerbacher Imperial is definitly better. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 5, 2006 Cask at Brazen Head. Clear burnt siena/orange color. Aroma of pumpkin with some orange and requisite pie spices (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg). Flavor of light biscuit malt infused with pumpkin, with some light citrusy (lemon/orange) and grassy notes. Very drinkable light to medium palate. Not a big fan of pumpkin ale in general but this one was nicely light and tame--not an ’in your face’ pumpkin custard bomb like some others.
