Shady golden color, fluffy white head. Acidic, horse blanket, stale, some hops scent. Hoppy bitter, sugary sweet, peppry spicy taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Flavor is sweet and really peppery, with some peach and a strong hop finish. Perhaps the hoppiest saison yet for me. Rich full mouthfeel. Good! Beerlando (2367), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Pours a very lightly hazy, glowing tangerine-orange color. Lively, rapidly cascading carbonation pools into a large, spongy, off-white head. The well retained foam leaves behind thin snakes of sudsy lacing. The aroma is classic saison, with coriander, orange peel, spicy clove, and pepper all showing over a lightly funky, dry farmhouse yeast. The malt base is grainy, with a touch of honey for sweetness. The flavor profile is very similar, while the bitter funk intensifies with the lively fizz. It starts out somewhat sweet up front, moving quickly to dry and bitter. The coriander and orange peel are very sharp, cutting through the malty sweetness like a knife. Finishes short and dry. Very nice saison, but not outstanding. ante (2977), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 7, 2008 Bottled. Hazy golden with a rich lively white foam that occupies 80% of the glass. Dryish, lively and yeasty aroma of white bread, white pepper, mild funk, lavender, dried oranges, juniper with a fresh outdoor smell. Yeasty, bready and orangey flavour with touches of pepper, orange-peels, white bread and herbs. Medium-bodied with a smooth, but still chewy mouthfeel. Long crisp and mildly spicy finish of dried oranges, mild spices, and white bread. Feels rather authentic but not rustic enough. Really pleasant to drink, though. gunnfryd (3643), Kristiansand, Norway

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2008 A delicious saison but noticeably American. Aroma was nice. Yeast, funk and barnyard. Pour was a nice medium hazy gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was sterile for a saison, but a nice twist. Yeasty and funky with a nice spiciness and a lemon-y sour aftertaste. Tastes like a sterilized clean version of a saison, which is fine, but not as good as the real thing.
