Notes from my backlog: Hazy deep brown/amber pour with a creamy tan film of head. The aroma is chocolaty, toasted toffee, mild toasted coconut, hint of tobacco. Creamy body wit ha toasted flavor of chocolate- quite malty with a peaty toasted coconut note. Deep rich caramel. Pretty nice.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06 at Natifest. Pours a clear copper with no head. The aroma is dry and herbal. Herbal sweetness. Big body and low carbonation. Past its prime, but nice to have the opportunity to try it.

750 ml bottle shared by alexsdad06 - thanks again, Brad! He warned us that this one was old. Looked old. Faded plaid label. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Notes of caramel, cardboard, brown sugar, toast, nuts, and straw. Light-medium bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a dry, sweet mouthfeel. Obviously would’ve been better fresher, but still not bad in its old age.

750ml bottle, tasted at Natifest. Almost entirely hazy red orange brown color. Thin ring of off-white head. Loose dots of lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Caramel malt, lightly spicy. Some fruitiness. Moderate sweet. Kind of spicy. Not crazy about this one at all... Old? Oxidized?

750ml thanks to some kind soul at NF14 - toasty malts. Sweet malts and nutty. How this is not a nut brown ale, I don’t know?

750 ml bottle consumed on two different occasions. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have caramel malt, sweet, some fruity notes and a hint of earthy character. The negative is on one of the tastings there was a big diacetyl quality that took over the beer. The rating is a combo of the two.

It has a good kick of alcohol (in a nice way) and deep amber color. Slightly more demanding drinking for the brewery but interesting ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown pour with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, toffee, and some dark fruits. Flavor is caramel, roasted malt, sugar and some fruitiness. Really sweet. Okay.

Bottle thanks to Brooha.   Deep caramel, dark and dirty, large foamy head, off-white, nice lacing.   Hmmm, I get this odd aroma of grape tootsie roll pop.   Some carob like chocolate and artifical grape fruitiness.   Oh yeah, grape like tootsie roll pop on the tongue.   Malty, moderate sweetness, carob, and this fake grape like tootsie roll pop flavor.   Malty from start to finish.   Somewhat of an odd duck.   Did I mention grape tootsie roll pop?   Fairly full bodied, smooth.   Sum this one up as an odd duck, not what I was expecting whatsoever for a Scotch Ale.   Thanks to Brooha for this odd freebie!

Murky dark brown, a thin ring, not much head... Aroma is lots of caramel, a little hops, very sweet scotch... Tastes like a barleywine, way to sweet, boring
