Big thanks to the kind soul that shared this one at the recent Tampa Tasting. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is white grapes, some lemon, citrus, tartness, and hints of wheat. Flavor is similar- tart citrus and some white grapes with hints of wheat and lactic. Medium in body for the style and very nice overall.

Bottle (22 oz). Shared by Julien, Pier-Luc and Benoît, huge thanks! Clear golden with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is extremely fruity with strawberries at first and then notes of lemon, pineapple and wheat. Taste is moderately sour with wheat and fruity notes (mostly strawberries and lemon). Clean, crisp, easily drinkable and refreshing.

Bottle. Clear gold pour with abundant white head that recedes quickly. Aroma is fruity, strawberry, lemon, pie dough smell. Taste is sour, wheaty, quite grainy. Good carbonation, light, crisp and refreshing. I wasn’t at all sure about the idea of making a high ABV berliner weisse, but this turned out quite well.

pushkinwow (1338) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 15, 2012
Bottle 399 of 450 from 2011. Clear golden with a nice slightly off white head. Some cinnamon and green apples skins, bit of funk, hay, bit of greek yogurt, very unripe plum and an overlay of belgium sugar. Moderate to full body, moderate carbonation, huge green apple skins with a hint of sweetness that becomes very sour and amazingly dry, make you smack your licks with the great sourness and wanting more.

Shared by craytonic at a recent tasting. Thanks Matt! Bottle 115 of 450 The beer is a straw yellow hue, appearing cloudy and hazy. The head is white and measures approximately a quarter inch. The aroma offers wheat, bread, grape skins, and a light yeast character. I am really enjoying the flavor. Tartness / sourness is present but mild. Light bodied, refreshing, and incredibly easy to drink. Overall, I am very impressed. I definitely recommend trying this should you have the opportunity. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-27-2012
