crizay (1070), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Nov 30, 2004 This was pretty good definitely one of the better tasting oktoberfest’ i’ve had lately. hopscotch (4431), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jan 3, 2004 Crystal clear amber lager with good retention and decent lacing. The nose is of fruit, with notes of cat piss, honey, cinnamon and nutmet. I had a cold, so maybe, just maybe, that wasn't cat piss I smelled.
Perfectly balanced flavor. It mirrors the aroma. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Lengthy, lightly bitter finish. hotstuff (3038), Indiana, USA Dec 20, 2003 Draft at the Southend Brewery in Jacksonville. This beer had a small sized off-white head with fine-small sized bubbles that mostly diminished. The body was carbonated and transparent with an orange hue. The nose was hoppy and the flavor of this beer was that of mild-moderate hoppiness. The palate was tingly and a bit dry. This was a medium bodied beer with excellent lacing. thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Dec 16, 2003 TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 46. This draft brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Jacksonville Florida. This brew poured a small head of off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a carbonated orange brown colored body and a very nice laceing. The aroma was also a nice one with a good caramel malt presence. The mouthfeel was tingly though it diminished in the finish where the mild hop bite took over. The flavor was nicely malted with a smattering of hops. Overall, it was quite nice and very enjoyable. PorterPounder (2810), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Oct 7, 2003 Had at the brewpub in Jacksonville. Has a decent, light copper appearance and a sweet, slightly nutty aroma. The head is off-white with good lacing. Solid malty-sweet undertones in the flavor. Overall, a solid brewpub seasonal - noting to write home about.
