Mild aromas of of roasted black malts. Mouth feel is thin and on the watery side. Flavor is all black malt with very little base malt to give it any body or balance the malt bitterness. Very dry mouth feel. Slightly burnt cardboard flavor at the finish.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Dark roasty and chocolatey aroma. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, leafy hops and vanilla. Medium bodied, very drinkable, very nice.

Basically black w/ a beige head.
A roast, some cocoa sourness, lactose, charcoal, odd unidentifiable fruit...grape maybe, blueberry
F molasses, char, lactose, cocoa nib sourness on the finish, coffee AT, woody, high roast, dry finish, charcoal, blueberry.

Draft at the brewery. There’s a dead bug in this one that must’ve wanted to die in style. It looks kind of happy in it’s tan, foamy death bed. The beer drinks with a fun coffee character, quite dry and bitter. Well done, as were all the SAB beers! (#4333, 10/7/2011)

on draft at nick and nate’s pizza. pitch black pour, minimal head with great lacing sticking to the glass. the aroma if of light chocolate and lots of coffee...its a non chewable stout the body is quite light and took me by surprise but if you like coffee then this is an easy drinking beer.

This beer is black in color with almost no lacing. The aroma has medium notes of licorish and candied fruits. The palate is smooth and malty with very little hops. This is not a huge bodied beer but definitely a cooler weather one.
