German Pilsen malt and a generous amount of Saaz hops give this lager a great spicy aroma followed by a pure, smooth malty taste. A crisp, delightfully balanced finish makes this Bohemian style beer the perfect treat after a morning of pitching hot tar on a jailhouse rooftop.

Tap. Poured a clear pale color with an average frothy white head that lasted and had good lacing. Moderate balanced aroma. Medium body with a dry smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This beer met my expectations.

On tap @Southern Appalachian / Hendersonville NC --- Clear dirty gold with a white head that drops to the rim, no lace. Taste is malt and light spice that shoves a definite shot of hops through at the end of the palate. It moves to a smooth finish in which both sides confidently appear. A very tasty American Pilsner.

on way to RBWG-A-on tap-white-hazy straw. A-grain/lt malt, slight spice. T-spice/towards metallic hop bite, 2nd sweet lt malt. 6/3/6/3/13=3.1 As it approaches cellar temp, aroma becomes a tad sweeter and taste has a bit less bite. 7/3/7/3/13=3.3

Draft at taproom. Pours straw yello with a thin white head. Not much on the nose. Kind of grassy with a bit of fruitiness on the tongue. Coates the mouth with a layer of creaminess. Clean finisher. Solid for style.

Draft in a flight at the brewery. Tasted very much like a lager to me, but I didn’t think there was much to it. Relatively devoid of characteristics.

On tap at the brewer (under the moniker "Bohemian Pilsner"), this pours slightly hazy straw into the glass, with a frothy soap head that retains well. A touch of lemongrass to the nose. Nice hoppy flavors mixed with a bit of lemon and gum hints. Lingering bitter finish that peppers the tongue well. Mouthfeel is great for a hot day, with active carbonation and a medium-light body. Decent, flavorful pils. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
