3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle from Slow Beer. Well hopped. Pours bright golden orange with a deep head of foam. Piney and floral citrus hop aromas are present and
plentiful. Full and lively in the mouth.

Hop Bazooka eh? Lofty claims. Fortunately it is a pretty balanced affair. Pour is hazy orange with a white head and plenty of lacing. Aroma is an interesting mix of piney hop resin with a bit of sweetness, honey perhaps?
Flavour is a pleasent upfront burst of grapegruit with some biscuity/bread notes. Finish is a good punch of hops, but not harsh or acrid.
Given the precise nature, I would think of this more a hop sniper than bazooka. Either way, enjoyable stuff.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Big and hoppy, almost too much hops initially on the palate but very enjoyable. Pine and floral, with citrus coming through with a good malt balance. Definitely would drink again.

Smells of stone fruit and pineapple. Very murky almost no head- must be the glass. First sip knocked my socks off. I wasn't quite ready for the hop hit. Left my palate feeling hopped.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Beer Cartel. Dark golden-brown, large off-white head, lots of resiney, chewy bitterness, ripe pineapple, passionfruit, grassy, sweet caramel, long dry bitter finish. Ok.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours golden hazy brown with good carbonation. Needed some of the bittering hops to be used for finishing hops. A little overly bitter on the tongue with an aftertaste that doesn’t linger. A slight absence of aroma also. This being said, a very drinkable IPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 Hated the old batch. It gushed and was way overcarbonated. New batch review:
Pours orange with a thing white head. Nose is nice tropical fruit juice, a little toffee. Flavor is fairly balanced with some more pineapple and passionfruit hops, toffee balance, a little grain, and a moderately bitter finish. Not crazy hoppy like I was expecting, but a nicely balanced IPA. Much much better than the last time I tried it, and definitely worth a look if you’re more into the English style balanced IPAs.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled 50 cl from McCoppins wine store, Melbourne, on August 4, 2013.
Label states 5.6% ABV.
Builds up a huge head. Cloudy orange color, off-white head. Hoppy, herbal scent. Hoppy, resin, very dry, very bitter taste. Dry, resin, bitter, harsh aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, huge bitterness.
This is something for the hopheads, but not really for me. Not a badly made beer, just not for my taste.
Had I not been on the ferry between Melbourne and Tasmania and some 9+ hours of travel ahead of me I’d probably opoured this one in the sink, now I actually did finish the bottle.

Bottle from Carlisle celebrations. Golden hazy pour with a frothy white head. Highly carbed up! Explodes into the glass. Citrus, stone fruit and pine needles in the aroma. Slight sweetness in the taste. More citrus hops coming through. The over carbonation works well actually. Not too bad
