2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. A bit of a gusher.
Pours a hazy golden color with ridiculous amounts of rocky off white head. Nose is intense tropical and citrus fruit. Pineapple and mango, some peach, and a bit of a spicy resin note.
I originally thought this was a bad bottle, but judging from the other reviews itís supposed to be like this. DONíT swirl this beer in your mouth at all, or it will taste horrible. Taste is very dry and fairly hoppy. Thereís a bit of a citrus and tiny tiny amounts of tropical fruit going on in the mid palate, but itís all lost in lots and lots of pine resin on the back end and a solid bitterness. Itís not crazy bitter, but the pine sort of makes it feel that way.
Mouthfeel is really fluffy and fizzy because of the carbonation. Itís really far too much and it detracts from the beer. Itís so fizzy that it burns your mouth.
Iím not a huge fan of this. Iím a huge hophead, but Iím not a hophead simply for the bitterness. I love hops because of their amazing flavour potential, and unfortunately this has all of the pine and resin flavours and none of the other more desirable ones. Thereís also almost zero malt flavour which means itís quite unbalanced.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled 50 cl from McCoppins wine store, Melbourne, on August 4, 2013.
Label states 5.6% ABV.
Builds up a huge head. Cloudy orange color, off-white head. Hoppy, herbal scent. Hoppy, resin, very dry, very bitter taste. Dry, resin, bitter, harsh aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, huge bitterness.
This is something for the hopheads, but not really for me. Not a badly made beer, just not for my taste.
Had I not been on the ferry between Melbourne and Tasmania and some 9+ hours of travel ahead of me Iíd probably opoured this one in the sink, now I actually did finish the bottle.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Carlisle celebrations. Golden hazy pour with a frothy white head. Highly carbed up! Explodes into the glass. Citrus, stone fruit and pine needles in the aroma. Slight sweetness in the taste. More citrus hops coming through. The over carbonation works well actually. Not too bad

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
500mL bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy golden hue with a massive dense head indicating slight over carbonation. Very nice topical fruit like aroma although as soon as it hits the tongue its a massive burst of bubbles (definitely over carbonated). Had to pick any flavours the the massive of bubbles dancing through my mouth. I will rerate at a later date.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy yellow poor with small lingering head clinging to the glass. Aroma is at 1st nice pleasant grassy resiny hops. First couple of sips nice kick of bitterness that refreshes my palate. Flavour is of resiny grassy hops and some citrus fruit. The flavour I find changes as I consume the beverage from pleasant amount of flavour to bordering on bland and then Back again. Its probably just me coming down off a week of night shift. Nice refreshing beer for what was a nice warm day.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice sharp hit of hop flavour in the aroma and straight up in the first taste. Slightly sweet with citrus notes. Medium carbonation carries the strong but balanced bitterness. Good flavour, liked it.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a light bronze. Some haziness. Decent slightly off white head. Hangs around forever. Plenty of lacing down the glass. Aromas of fresh hops, citrus - maninly grapefruit, and passionfruit. Plenty of light caramel and perhaps a hint of light floral honey. Nothing overly assertive but nicely balanced. Flavours a quite sweet initially before the resiny hops show through. Bitterness if not overly assertive but balances out the sweetness. Medium / thin mouthfeel. Good stuff.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
This cloudy, amber offering positively sparkles as it swirls in the glass, and the beige head gives off an aroma of grapefruit, honey, resin and a little sweet strawberry. Itís in the tasting where this beer falls down. the hops provide the dominant flavour, but theyíre pretty muted, and the palate is watery and short.
