Not much aroma, slightly roasty and malty, but rather non-descript otherwise. Appearance is deep brown with tan head. Taste is nice chocolate, coffee and malty. Palate is kindly bitter and roasty. Pretty nice porter.

500ml bottle. Deep dark black colour te the inside of a dungeon. Smallish head with some bitter dark chocolate aromas. Nice smooth flavour with a creamy rich mouthfeel.

Pours black with a small head.
Nose shows restrained roasted malt along with a faint floral and sweet pear note.
Similar flavours; plain roasted malt, floral perfume-like notes followed by a mild bitterness. Needs more roast and less of the floral character.
Could use more carbonation.

Bottle, 12C. Very dark brown with a modest tan head that retreats to the rim and disappears after a while. Aroma of treacle, chocolate, pears. Medium bodied, feels progressively heavier as you go. A bit overcarbonated for me. Slightly sweet with some dark sugars as well as roasted flavours, mocha, pears. Dry, slightly astringent finish. Bitterness gradually creeps up along with some peppery spices. Slightly let down by the mouthfeel, but there’s heaps going on with the malt flavours and the balance is good.

On tap at Dejavu. Nice malt-driven beer. Aromas of caramel and milk chocolate, with a hint of coffee. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Brown, with a frothy head.
