Black pour with a thin persistent light khaki foamy cap. Nose has a bit of coffee and oatmeal, with a sweet roasty and earthy pseudo chocolate tone. The flavor is wonderful with coffee and chocolate tones, a deep yet smooth and medium-bodied mouthfeel, nice rich flavor and texture, with coffee and dark chocolate tones throughout with a touch of earthy oats. Spot on and lovely. Has a bit of bitterness from a roast tone on the finish so its not too sweet.

On draft at Southern. Pours a nice stout brown color with an off-white head. Nose is some roast, some chocolate, and some fruity yeast. Flavor is similar with roast, light chocolate, and some fruitiness that adds to the complexity. Light to medium in body and nice overall.

32 ounce growler fresh from Southern, poured a dark black color with aromas of roast, and earth. Flavors are silky oatmeal, roast and some earth. a solid stout overall, light on palate would drink over and over again.
