Poured from a big can thanks to 5000. Pours a semi hazy copper with a fluffy white head of foam. Aroma is cotton candy and spruce. Tastes fairly bitter, bit maintains a nice balance.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a one centimtere tall white head. Aroma of pale malt, light hops and a hint of alcohol and sugar - not much going on at all and hardly any hops. Light-bodied; Mild grassy and soapy hops with a pellet taste and a bit of herbal flavour and no malt at all to speak of. Aftertaste has just about nothing but soap and the slightest bit of grassiness and no hops at all. Overall, a pretty bad beer and eventhough I just wanted to try the brewery, this one was pretty bad. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Made in Oregon earlier today on 13-April-2013 for US$4.95 sampled later in the day in my hotel room here in Portland.

Out of the bottle from Uptown. Pours a clear golden color with a full white head. Smell and taste is only slightly hoppy. However, the beer is full and balanced. I don’t know if this is truly an IPA, but it is a great beer.

This was decent. It’s hoppy but not really bitter. Almost a tad stale. Still a pretty tasty beer. A better body than finish.

22 oz. from Chuck’s @ $4.99. SOB beers definitely hold their own, but I wish they would give up on the cute-sy names. Citrus nose, creamy-colored and pillowy head. Bitter enough to be called in IPA. Tastes good with pizza.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Pine and light grapefruit aroma with malt. Grapefruit and pine flavor with malt backing. Medium bodied. OK bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine linger with malt backing.

22oz bomber from Belmont Station in Portland, OR pours a golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing. Aroma is lemon and grass with some cereal grains. Taste is a lemon and grassy hop bitterness with a grainy sweet malt backbone. Light to medium bodied with decent carbonation. Fairly well balanced and definitely enjoyed, as I found it a little different than most of the IPA’s I have tried.

pours a semi-clear amber-orange with a small white head, and some lacing.
smell is faint, some caramel, some floral notes, and a few hops.
taste is watery, some citrus, some caramel, and few hops. ends weak and not that bitter. overall not that great of an Micro IPA.

Portland, Or. - John’s Market Place - 22 oz bomber. Dark gold pour, soft white head, nice lacing. Floral aroma, with hint of dandelions. Nice subtle
bitterness, some grains of paradise-like spiciness. very subdued for an IPA. Thick enough mouthfeel.

Pours light amber with a finger of white, bubbly head. Aroma is whack. It smells minty with some grass and lemon. Medium bodied. There’s that mint again. Something seems kind of off. A bit of malt backing to balance the grass and lemon flavours of the hops. Very strong tasting. Bitter after taste with some metallic notes.
