Bottle: very deep ruby-amber coloured, small stable off-white lacy head; sweetish-sourish dark-malty and coffeeish nose with nutty traces; medium bodied, really soft, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, accompanied by a slight acidity; lingering sweet-sourish coffeeish and fruity finish, gets drier towards the very end. Well crafted stuff…

650ml shared bottle at home from Biernavigatie.nl. Body is nearly black, head is small, beige, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Nose is coffeeish, flavor is mild coffee, chocolate, toast, roasted malt, light smoke, brown sugar. Light sweet, medium to heavy roasty bitter, hint of umami. Finish is medium lasting roasty medium bittersweet. Medium body, thin slightly sticky texture, soft carbonation. Easy dessert beer, good but not too exciting.
