3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Deep brown, nearly black, moderate to large foamy beige head, fairly nice lacing.   Sweet
roasted malts on the nose.   Smells inviting.   Oh wow!   Smooth roastiness on the tongue, semi-sweet, a
litle lactose sweetness, and a great body.   This is silky smooth and delicious.   This one I am surprised by
as many seem to be acrid and too thin.   This has a great malt base, smooth malts to back up the soft hop
bitterness.   Very flavorful.   This might be one of my new favorite Porters from Oregon.   Smidgen of
dark chocolate too.   This one is very very nice.   Recommended!

3.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Massive porter more like a stout. Big, bold coffee/chocolate flavor without the sweet malty heaviness.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
This one is really impressive out of bottle, with a deep, opaque brown-to-black color topped by a huge, fizzy beige head that settles to a persistent ring. The aroma is pleasantly sweet and earthy, with a predominant vanilla character over a light roasted quality that was reminiscent of white toast. The flavor is sadly more one-dimensional, with the same vanilla character and some dark caramel being only modestly balanced by a dark roasted coffee bitterness. A light, prickly carbonation cuts through a medium-weight body, which combines with a slight astringency to make this one harsher than would be desired. In the end, the sweet yet roasty profile is enjoyable enough, but it doesn’t make this beer any more than a nice but unremarkable porter.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
[1pt 6floz bottle, courtesy of cgarvieuk] Dark brownish black. Thick cream-coloured head that thins pretty quickly. Roasted mocha aroma. Not got the huge alcohol that other US porters have – good session porter. Sweet on finish, but never cloying

Bottle at Craigs. A black beer with a decent tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and yeast. Flavours of chocolate, yeast and caramel. Moderate carbonation with a fair CO2 prickle. Mouth-feel is quite oily.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled 0,65 ltr (bottle from Oregon)
Opaque black color, small beige head. Strong chocolaty, coffee bean aroma. Medium-bodied. Chocolaty, toasted, coffee bean flavor. Sweetish finish. Low bitterness. Very tasty, especially if this is really only 5.5%.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2015 First of all, this is the best smelling beer I have ever had. The taste is just as good, and almost tastes as good as it smells. Almost. Still though, holy cow, this beer will surprise you.
Now that my palate was ruined by Falling Sky’s two behemoth 11+%ers, this Porter fails to break through.
