Countbeer (5044) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - APR 2, 2015
Bomber shared with Joes: Served in tasters: Brown black (dark ruby in light source) beer with a small to medium sized beige head. Aromas of roast, chocomalts, dust, light coffee, light roast, very nice. Flavours of lovely roast tones, chocolate, bitters, malt roast/toast, freaking easy drinker and thirstclenching with very nice dark tones! Aftertaste is nice, soft and light roast, choclate, bitters... Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied. Very well executed porter!

Bomber, from friends in Oregon. Rich roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate and coffee. Pours dark brown with one finger of tan head with excellent retention and very little lacing. Roasted malt flavors with coffee slightly overpowering the chocolate undertones, but not badly. Finishes smooth with more of the chocolate coming through on the palate at the very end. Solid porter.

11-Apr-10 (22-oz bottle: Purchased 30-Dec-09 for $4.24 at liquidsolutions.net)
The Porter is probably the best of the bottled beers from this brewery, but perhaps in part because it’s a fairly forgiving style in terms of hiding subtle flaws. There’s a lot of cola in the flavor, molasses, milk chocolate, cocoa, dark bread, a touch of prunes, and a hint of ashiness and day-old coffee in the finish. Cola, wood, chocolate, toast and dried leaves in the nose. The beer is medium in body, light-medium in carbonation, and despite the light sweetness, it’s still mostly dry on the palate. Clear in appearance and dark brown in color but light enough to allow some transparency through the center. The quarter-inch, off-white head settles rapidly to a ring. Good stuff.

Pours a half finger of tan head on a black body. The aroma is mostly burnt malt and wood. The taste is a smooth burnt and roasted malt with a mild lemon bitter finish. The texture is smooth with crisper edges and moderate carbonation. A nice solid drinkable porter. Enjoyable.
