3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It has a hazy medium amber color with a rapidly disapearing off white head. The nose is grainy and the over all taste follows suit - grains, toast with hints of caramel malt. It has a medium to light body with a smooth lightly carbonated mouthfeel. No bitterness and a long lasting pleasant grainy aftertaste. Completely satisfying. Would buy again.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy rusty orange with a small white head that fades to a small ring. Aroma of baked apples, grass, toffee, orange, and toast. Flavor also has that baked apple taste, but slightly less so with more earth, toast, toffee, leaves, and grass. Finishes with a bit of peppery spice, grass, and toasted pizza crust. Slight fruit aftertaste, which lingers in a funny way and makes me want to have some water. Medium to light bodied, moderate carbonation, body feels like it could have been slightly more carbonated. It’s a good beer, definitely interesting, but certainly not perfect.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted from 12 oz can into tulip. Thanks Dak, I never expected to drink a nice Texan Bière de Garde in a can, cool! Poured a beautiful, mostly clear, excellent off-white foam and lace. Very pleasing aromas of caramel malt, flowery hops, subdued Belgian-type yeast esters/phenols, perfumey alcohol. Rich malt sweetness, caramel, toffee, apricots. Had a unique palate: creamy and buttery, light body but sticky-sweet mouthfeel, low carbonation, with a lingering tangy aftertaste. Very well-crafted and tasty.

Drank out of a can. Dark copper/translucent amber. Strong malty aroma. This is a very good and balanced beer. Good tart flavor and quite buttery.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an opaque brown color with a tall khaki colored head. Sort of watery and bland overall, but there is a mildly interesting aroma of fruit and yeast. Some bready malt is also present. Moderately sweet with a bit of toffee, bread, and caramel. Some yeast notes along with a bit of green apple. The flavor is fairly watery, too.

Draft at Fort Worth Flying Saucer. I’m not a bier de garde expert so grain of salt here...it was nice and drinkable but nothing special. I remember thinking there were wine and grape notes.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From draft. Bright orange color with nice head. Aroma is faint spice, dust, yeast. Flavor is kind of complex. Light and smooth but just enough funkiness to make it interesting. Some unfamiliar flavors in here that are difficult to describe. Very drinkable.
