4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From draft. Bright orange color with nice head. Aroma is faint spice, dust, yeast. Flavor is kind of complex. Light and smooth but just enough funkiness to make it interesting. Some unfamiliar flavors in here that are difficult to describe. Very drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy light brown brew with the aroma of fruit bread. Taste is sweet and still resembles a fruit bread with some hits of spices. Good brew but overall had to dock it for the price. Expensive for a 4 pack of cans.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: Nutty notes of oak and char but fairly week
Appearance: slightly cloudy brown with an off white head
Taste: nutty almost pecan tasting notes that slide into flavors that feel like they clash, it is not so much bad as confused but still not all to pleasant.
Palate: rather thin in all regards.
Overall: Not a fan of drinking it but it is damn good to cook with. I have a decent of recipes that call for "beer" and many are not specific and this lends far more complexity to many than most beer I am willing to use in food. So it does get bonus overall point for making a fantastic beer bread.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can, with the new (and FABULOUS) graphics. Pours amber-red with a fine-grained, smooth, creamy off-white head. Nose is caramel, savory, spicy, and with a definite funk like aged cheese. Sweet and wine-like up front, with a following note that I’ve come to associate with the style -- puts me in mind of tobacco ash or coal dust. Whisky notes on the back of the tongue. Finish is long with a hint of savory. Perhaps lacking a little in complexity, but good.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: 750 ml bottle from Central Market, 8/12/13
Aroma: The aroma is extremely sweet with bready malts, dark fruit, caramel, and spices
Appearance: It pours a hazed reddish color with a quick dissipating head and no lace
Flavor: Tastes mid-heavy sweet with some spice, but not enough to balance the sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, it is fairly sticky, has lively carbonation, and a tingly finish
This beer is okay but not great. The flavors work decently together, but still, it feels a drop flawed. Overall, it is a little too sweet and fairly unexciting.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
31.4 oz. bottle. 6.6% ABV per the label. Pours a thin short lived ivory head, over a clear light amber (SRM 10) body.....nose is cereal malts, hints of raisin.....taste is light raisin, cereal, finishing with a dry sharp bitterness.....mouth feel light of medium, astringent, light acid from carbonation. This misses the proclaimed style by a good bit. The malt back bone, which should be in the ascendancy, is too simple and needs more complexity. It is not a bad tasting beer and does not have any horrid things going on. It just is not a Biere de Garde. BJCP 6/3/11/4/5

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Put is orange cloudy. Thin lingering head. Citrus aroma. Smooth citrus taste. Low bitter. Probably better in bottle than can.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy orange-brown color with a medium foamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of musty malt and citrus. Light to medium body with flavors of grainy malt, lemons and yeast. The finish is slightly funky with a fruity aftertaste. Just average overall.
