From draft. Bright orange color with nice head. Aroma is faint spice, dust, yeast. Flavor is kind of complex. Light and smooth but just enough funkiness to make it interesting. Some unfamiliar flavors in here that are difficult to describe. Very drinkable.

Poured a deep rust color with aromas of sweet bread, spices, malt, light apples and some yeast. Flavors are malt, sweet bread and some yeast. Interesting not the worst of the style one of the better ones I’ve tried .

Surprised by the low ratings. This is solid. Very nice. A little light on the yeast, but has a pleasant sweetness, and very quaffable. I like it.

Hazy light brown brew with the aroma of fruit bread. Taste is sweet and still resembles a fruit bread with some hits of spices. Good brew but overall had to dock it for the price. Expensive for a 4 pack of cans.

Draft pours red/brown with an off-white head. Aroma of dried fruit, floral, honey, and caramel. Taste is lost of caramel, dried fruit, cherry, peach, light grain. Medium body with a very sweet finish.

Aroma: Nutty notes of oak and char but fairly week Appearance: slightly cloudy brown with an off white head Taste: nutty almost pecan tasting notes that slide into flavors that feel like they clash, it is not so much bad as confused but still not all to pleasant. Palate: rather thin in all regards. Overall: Not a fan of drinking it but it is damn good to cook with. I have a decent of recipes that call for "beer" and many are not specific and this lends far more complexity to many than most beer I am willing to use in food. So it does get bonus overall point for making a fantastic beer bread.

Can, with the new (and FABULOUS) graphics. Pours amber-red with a fine-grained, smooth, creamy off-white head. Nose is caramel, savory, spicy, and with a definite funk like aged cheese. Sweet and wine-like up front, with a following note that I’ve come to associate with the style -- puts me in mind of tobacco ash or coal dust. Whisky notes on the back of the tongue. Finish is long with a hint of savory. Perhaps lacking a little in complexity, but good.
