16oz Can. Pours a hazy copper color with a fluffy head that fades to good lacing. Aroma of pine, little citrus and fruit with a bit of malt sweetness. Taste of pine with fruit and easy malt sweetness. Nice bitterness and a bit of malt in the finish. Medium body smooth and well balanced. Nie Pale Ale that goes down easy. worth checking out.

Canned: unk Hazy copper with a persistent sheet of white. Smells plenty malty, sweet with crystal malts, a little pine hop character. Flavor is nicely bitter, but well balanced with the malts. Full bodied with subdued carb and a wet finsh. Very drinkable beer. Best I’ve had in this Texas gift pack my sister gave me.

Hazy and amber-brown in color with a nice head that lasted and left good lacing. Smells of piney grapefruit, hops, slightly fruity, and a little earthy. Tastes of caramel malts, pine, grapefruit, citrus, a bit of sweetness, and an earthy bitterness. Lingering slightly sweet bitterness helps define this nice, medium bodied beer. I’d certainly like to have it again, very smooth and flavorful, easy to drink, and comes in cans. Nice job on this one.

Pours a murky golden-copper color with a sudsy, off white head. Grassy, piny, grapefruity nose. Full body with a powdery texture and some mild scrubbing peppers the surface of the tongue. A roasted malt provides structure to a more subdued--given the bouquet--grass and citrus hops.

Poured an amber color from a can at the Brass Tap, had aromas of pine, grapefruit, and some malt. Flavors were light grapefruit, and tons of pine, decent beer overall.

Can poured a hazy orange hue w/ large frothy head and nice lacing. Big piney and citrusy aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a bold bitter finish of lasting duration. Tastes are pine, grapefruit, lemon, and straw. Big bodied, creamy mouthfeel, crisp finish.

Hands down one of my favorites. I’m a huge fan of almost everything Southern Star puts out, but once I found Pine Belt, I fell in love. Crisp, a little sweet with an IBU almost as high as an IPA. Nothing beats tossing back one or two of these right at the brewery on Saturdays.

Hazy dark orange body under an average sized off-white head. Juicy malt and citrus hop aroma. The flavor starts sweet with the bitterness kicking in immediately as it heads to a dry finish. Almost IPA territory here.

Can
Appearance: Cloudy amber with nice foamy white head
Aroma: dark bread
Taste: Bready malts,
Palate: Fairly bitter up front, but finishes smooth with a good malt backbone. Fairly lively mouthfeel
Overall: A bit heavy, good drinking. Good taste

Bob picked this up in Charleston, it was a very nice find! Light orange, very very hazy. (clarity is overrated, see above) Thick off white head. Grapefruit and pine nose. Slight hop bite up front, nice.
