Zinister (877), Houston, Texas, USA Jun 2, 2008 Had many times, but this rating is based on the pint I had at Beaver’s...thanks Bobby and Kevin for this first Houston draft of this. Great clear red amber color with off-white head that doesn’t linger long. Nose of floral and sweet pine hops...wonderful...and some malt to back it up. Taste is rich fresh hops, both citrus and floral, malt and some caramel. Dry, clean finish that leaves me wanting more. Impressive APA and fantastic for a first effort.
DrHomolka (591), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 7, 2008 Can. Thanks to MaltOMeal for including this as an extra. Pours dark copper color with a huge white head that has great retention and lacing. Smell is strong malts with some piney hops underneath. Definitely more malty than hoppy though it’s a good type of malt. Reminds me somewhat of Dale’s. Taste is smooth, slightly bitter, grainy with some biscuit notes and subtle hop flavor. Very easy drinking. I really like canned beers for some reason and this is one of the better ones I’ve had. An excellent Pale Ale. jkwalking05 (172), Arlington, Texas, USA Sep 6, 2008 Beautiful medium amber color with a slight reddish tint; beige colored head is thick and frothy. Aroma is of caramel, pine, oranges, and fresh hops with a malty accent. Flavor is light and malty in the front of the mouth with a bitter hop bite at the back. kosko20 (90), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Sep 2, 2008 Wow...only 64 ratings...Great appearance, ruby copper with a light tan head (thick). Aroma is hops, barley and malts. Very pleasant, nicely balanced. Flavor isn’t all there, a little weak in malts and hops. Has a thin body with a nice bitter end. Starts off great...flavor dissapoints slightly but definitely a good brew. 65 ratings now :) fonefan (4468), Ulfborg, Denmark Sep 2, 2008 Bottle 16 fl.oz @ Amerikaner blindsmagning @ Papsoe, Bottle #08.] Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head.
