Bottle shared at a tasting. Hazy orange, thin fizzy off-white head. Good retention. Aroma of syrupy, goopy tropical fruits, zesty citrus. The taste is bitter citrus, piney and tropical hops, pale malts. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, a bit astringent.

Solid DIPA. Deep copper pour, cream head. Aroma is resin, bitter pine, slight grapefruit and citrus notes. Taste is heavy resin and bitter hops. a bit harsh on the tounge, with some lingering spiciness. Pretty good, I’d like to try a super fresh pint, not sure when this was canned.

355ml can. Beaut of an orangeish amber pour. Slightly hazed. The aroma is citrus, dank, pine, caramel, spice, herbs. A well-rounded scent. Flavor is pineapple, orange juice, mimosa, slight pine, citrus rind, medium bitterness, some malt backing. Tangy and juicy. Wow this is fuckin good.

Clear brilliant golden with a lasting white foamy head. Earthy leafy farm hops on the nose. Bit of a bitter brew with a earthy hop dankness that’s not super enjoyable, just earthy and eh. Nice backing of earthy biscuity caramel, finishing with bitterness and booze.

Literally smells like fresh fruit juice. Probably the most pineapple I have ever smelled in a beer. It literally smells like someone sliced open a fresh pineapple and squeezed into the beer. Taste is the same. Just massive amounts of fresh pineapple juice with a really nice hoppy bitterness. There’s a subtle brown sugar taste in the back of the mouth. This one is just a killer double IPA. Texas has some really amazing beers and this one is probably at the top. Never had so much awesome pineapple flavor in a beer before. Really surprised by this one, definitely try it.

Rich, deep copper, amber and bronze coloured body with a muddied orange glow and a thick, rich two centimetre tall tan head - very nice looking. Aroma of alcohol, pine, candy sugar, apricots, yeast, bread and quite a bit of grapefruit and passionfruit. Full-bodied; Rich chewy flavour with the hops hitting strong and hard but then fading to a nice sweetness of fruits and a heavy malt quality. Aftertaste shows a bit of hop bitterness on the end with a little malty richness, alcohol and caramel flavours toward the finish. Overall, a nice imperial IPA in a can!!! A good beer that I wasn’t sure what to expect, but executed fairly well and showing some good flavours consistently, all with a very nice body. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whip In in Austin, Texas on 05-May-2014 for US$2,69 sampled at home in Washington on 05-December-2014.
