Excited for #100!..... This one pours an enticing copper/orange with just a hint of haze. Plentiful pine aroma, with hints of bubblegum, lemon zest and alcohol soaked fruit. The taste is pretty potent, with a wallop of heavy hops on the front end that pretty much stays around till the next drink. Not much in the way variation, this is all IPA.... The palate was more sticky and a bit more soapy than I prefer, but still drinkable. Washes down a bit slow, could have had a bit more carbonation. At 9.2% abv, you certainly feel it by the end of the bottle! Well, the first 100 ratings have been a pleasure....I have found that there is not a beer I dislike, just some I like more than others! I find it hard to believe it took me so long to discover all the choices of great beer out there....the craft brew market is incredible right now. Donít get me wrong, I still enjoy a good, cold Budweiser after mowing the lawn, but sometimes you just need something with more of a spectrum of flavors, hops and body. Prosit my friends! Beer, itís the best damn drink in the world. Jack Nicholson

Pours cloudy amber with large off white head out if can. Strong aroma of citrus with floral hops. Excellent balanced flavor of hops with finish of citrus and grapefruit. Great beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this while it was Pro-Am 2012, reviewed from notes: Pours a nice clear amber color with white head. Pine, citrus, and floral notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Lots of hop resin on the palate. Very nice.

Smell of big fruit citrus, appearance is cloudy amber with off white head, taste is slight sweet in the beginning with caramel and hoppy bitterness kicking in that lingers.

12oz can in a tulip. Pours amber with a cream-colored head. Aroma of floral and resinous and lightly citrusy hops, some pale and caramel malts, and dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty standard double IPA.

docsteigs (522) - Texas, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Appearance is clear medium to dark copper with lacy proteinaceous head with good retention. Hops dominate nose with pine predominant with some background citrus and earth. Taste is well balanced between bitterness and malt. Hops presence is experienced primarily through bitterness as opposed to flavor. Mouthfeel is rich but not syrupy and appropriate to style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark Amber brew with lots of pinish hop aroma. Thick beer that had the hop flavor that was expected but too much sweetness from the malts. Seemed almost like it should have been allowed to ferment longer to take down the sweetness. For the price would like to have had better and a bottle rather than the can.

Bronze pour, thin but resolute head. Nose is caramel and pine. Bittersweet. Coats the tongue. Middle is sweet malt and bright citrus fruit. Finish is LONG bitterness! You donít taste the alcohol but you do feel it.

Floater (1) - - FEB 19, 2014 does not count
Poured from the 1 Pint, 0.9 fluid ounce edition. Appearance is amber to orange in color, cloudy with floaters, decent head that laces the glass through a few sips. Aroma is nice but the taste is hard to figure out and at first seems beyond bitter to chemical/astringent, and then my palate seemed to adjust a little improving satisfaction. Iím a fan of IPAís and this one falls in the middle of it ... better than most Iíve brewed but room for improvement.

Bottle at RBWG 2014, thanks! Pours a near clear amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a syrupy pine note with some resin and a bit of sweet grains underlying. Flavor has a resinous pine note with a touch of grapefruit and a bread backing.
