This one poured a lightly hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of light belgian spices, and really no much else. Flavor was watery, lightly sweet, with mild belgian character to keep it from being a plain wheat beer. meh.

12oz can from Binny’s Lakeview. Pours a lightly hazed, golden colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened, bready wheats with a good amount of orange citrus. Somewhat yeasty with a few banana notes, some light pepper, and a few florals. Flavor is similar. Somewhat yeasty with banana esters, a light pepper, and a few florals alongside a lightly sweetened, grainy, bready wheat malt backing. Finishes clean, lightly bitter, citrusy, a bit yeasty, and somewhat bready before leaving a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Medium, smooth body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, this was a pretty solid Belgian Ale. Bready and wheaty with a light sweetness, but clean and balanced with some yeasty esters, a light spicing, and a light hopping. Nice beer.

I’m not sure what happened here but thanks to Santa anyways for the tick. A watery mess that meanders all over the place this was either a bit past its prime or simply not a good release to begin with. Give it a miss and try Southern Star’s better offerings instead.

Aroma / Appearance - The semi-transparent coppery base supports wispy flecks of eggshell head. It looks as flat and uninspiring as it tastes. The sweet nose is mainly lemons, apples, and oranges with little to no cohesiveness.

Flavor / Palate - A thin bodied Belgian fades mercifully quick. It is forgettable even immediately after the sip hits the tongue. Three to four ounces was all I needed to make my decision. A good effort, this one falls short in almost all respects.

Can, courtesy Brigadier, thanks! Hazy straw gold pour, white head, some retention/little lace. Aroma is light ester, cereal grain, grass. Taste is cereal grains, grass, lemon, light tart. Palate is quite watery, slick, light finish. Definitely a lawnmower beer.

Overall an awfully plain ale, it doesn’t deliver the complexity that so many Saison-style ales have. Poured a hazy gold with minimal head. The aroma is very bready with just a little funk, and the taste is the same. It finishes smooth and dry. I don’t think I would buy again, there are way to many other examples that blow this one out of the water.

Can courtesy of crajun from the Local Beer Swap Threeve. Thanks Kevin. Pours a hazy amber with a medium sized white head. A touch of wheat on the nose, soft wheat and musk. Medium bodied, a hint of grain, some lemon, a little metallic note, and then a touch of tartness. Finishes up with some soft bitterness, a little lemon zest, and then grain. Easy drinking, decent enough.

Can that pours light coloured body, with rapidly dissipitating head. Neutral at best aroma, a tad cheesy and yeasty. Average mouthfeel, some satisfaction in "slaking thirst" but not too drinkable. A tad of yeast, just not interesting. Thanks Tim.
