Intensiv, sehr nussig werdend, gut! 10/13/12/10/10/11

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegman’s Leesburg. It pours pitch black with a creamy, dark tan head. The nose has a good dose of flint, earth, and slight burnt notes. The flavor thankfully isn’t so dry. A bit of lactose sweetness up front, nice roasted malt notes, a little flint, milk chocolate, and very slight burnt notes on the back end. Well rounded with lots of flavor. Full bodied with low, creamy carbonation and a lasting bitter finish. Quite nice.

The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma features a lot of chocolate and a good bit of roasted malt. The flavor is very similar. The chocolate and nut notes really come through, as does some roasted malt. I also get some oats and lactose and cream notes in the flavor. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
