3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled 3/14/12. Pours deep brown to black with beige head. Light, sharp aroma of dark chocolate and fruit. Mellow toffee and caramel up front, developing into a nice mix of hop and malt bitterness. Warm alcohol finish. Rich mouthfeel, medium to full-bodied. Very easy-drinking, pleasant milk stout.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours black with a small mocha colored head. A thin ring of lace resides as the head dissipated. Brownies, vanilla, bitter dark chocolate, and hint of alcohol are all in the aroma. Smells fantastic! This brew is packed with flavor too. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and a slight hop note come to mind. Really easy to drink at 7.5% and decently priced.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours black with a nut brown coloured head. Aroma is boozy with faint dried fruit, lots of cocoa, vanilla, and light smoke. The taste is sweet, with alcohol, light smoke, again, lots of cocoa, espresso, and bitter citrus in the finish. Not too full bodied, and dangerously easy drinking for 7.5%. Full on tasty.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had on tap at Lockview in Akron, OH on 03/06/12.
Appearance: jet black in color with 2 finger light tab head. Moderate lacing.
Smell: roasted malts, alcohol, and hints of vanilla.
Taste: vanilla tones, slight alcoholic taste. Roasted malts.
Mouthfeel: not much retainment. Not very much kick for what is listed as 8.0% ABV by the restaurant.
Overall: easy to drink. I could see myself drinking a couple of these in an evening.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black bodied and a simple tan head. Coffee, toast, chocolate, Butterscotch and some dark hops. Low carbonation. Smooth bitterness, creamy rich sweetness. Long aftertaste. Well made brew. So hard to differentiate between all these amazing American brewers. (On my Florida trip)

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Man, almost no aroma here. Light-bodied, some coffee, but like their DIPA, this is weak for a double stout. Sweet? Milky? Really? Did not notice. Somewhat of a bitter finish due to the coffee notes. Not bad, but not great.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
32oz growler from Moondog Growlers- Marietta, GA ----> nonic pint (that was provided free of charge by the store). Pours deep inky black with a 2 finger tan head that never totally disappears, but fades quickly. Aroma is mainly malt with light coffee- not much in the way of aroma. Taste makes up for the lack of aroma (suprisingly) with sweetness up front and bitter cocoa and coffee on the back end. Medium palate, a little thicker than most milk stouts. This one hits the mark as far as milk stouts go. If the aroma was a bit more interesting, it would have gotten a higher rating. Great milk stout.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured this beer from the bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a full black color with a small-medium foamy tan head with short retention, good lacing, and very light cling. The aroma was a rich chocolate and caramel malt blend with light sugar and molasses tones, a slight touch of coffee, and some earthy and grainy hops to balance. Its taste had a sweet chocolate and caramel flavor that yields to a bitter and slightly sour grainy and earthy mix. The beer had a creamy body and was wet with low to average carbonation and fizz, and a drying alcohol presence.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared with Minh. Pours a deep brownish black with nice brown lacing. Aroma is bitter espresso, milk and light roasted chocolate malts. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of milk chocolate, toasted malts and dry bitter espresso. Not bad.
