3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
MM MMM. Last of the Christmas beer haul. Dark as expected in the glass with an erupting mocha head. Chocolate nose. Slick lactose center. Luscious finish. The consistent (and definitive) labeling of Southern tier is both familiar and a bit too much. X amount of malts and X amount of hops....Blah Blah. Glad the 12 oz bottles are becoming more available. Why does it have to be such a commercial in my hand?

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a deep chocolate brown with a very thin beige head, not much lacing at all. Smell of Chocolate and roasted malt on the nose, toasty and nutty. Medium bodied, nice and creamy, but just a touch of hops. Nice chocolate sweetness, the lactose is nice with the bittering hops. Seems like a dry finish, but how can that be with a sweet Stout? It works.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with a coffee colored head, but not too thick. Very light aroma compared to full rich, sweet taste. Coffee-ish after taste that shows the alcohol but in a good way. Great milk stout.
