3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled 3/14/12. Pours deep brown to black with beige head. Light, sharp aroma of dark chocolate and fruit. Mellow toffee and caramel up front, developing into a nice mix of hop and malt bitterness. Warm alcohol finish. Rich mouthfeel, medium to full-bodied. Very easy-drinking, pleasant milk stout.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice, flavorful stout. Not too bitter, a little sweet. Smells like chocolate and wood. Tastes like roasted coffee beans, with a slightly hoppy finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz Bottle. The beer pours to a rich black color with a very small tan head. The aroma has roasted, chocolate & bread notes to it. The taste has chocolate, coffee, a little alcohol & slight sweetness to it. It isn’t quite as smooth as Left Hand Milk Stout but still has a good taste & aroma to it. Overall a good milk stout.

If only all nursing mothers drank this stout. There would be a lot of children with high blood alcohol levels.

As far as brews are concerned ST puts out a solid stable of products. Their Choklat is one of my favorites that they have put out. But with this one I was midly surprised. A dark hue. Thin lacy head. I sense the espresso, cappuccino in it. Their is a booziness to it but not overpowering. The wash down is a bit bitter than one would or should expect. And that is one of tthe issues with this brew, it reaches plateau too soon. Still it is a very drinkable brew. Definitely worth a whirl.

Just not comparable to O’dells or Left Hand’s milk stouts. Alcohol is noticeable. There just isn’t enough body to bring this milk stout full circle. Not a bad brew, but for something meant to be a bit more indulgent this is sort of a let-down.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours completely black with a small white head. It smells like cold coffee and chocolate. The taste is bitter dark chocolate, milk, and burnt toast. It’s not great. I’m not a big fan.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from six pack with Wayne. With a double milk stout I was expecting sweet. Not really there. Kind of disappointing. Finished quite hoppy.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt and dark chocolate and a bit of raisin. Aroma also.was sweet. Taste is of chocolate, roasted malt and licorice. Sweet at first but bitters towards finish. Lasting roasted malt and a small bit of alcohol. Lace on glass and head lasts. A very nice stout, very enjoyable and easy to drink.
