Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, milky notes. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate malt, roasted, sweet, sugary notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120331]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes chocolate, roasted malt, and wood. The flavor is sweet with roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, and coffee, leading to a dry, roasted, and alcoholic finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of chrisv10. Pours a clear dark brown with an orange hue and a beige head. Sweet vanillaish roast in the nose. Rich body, sweet roast, some dark chocolate and a rather bitter finish from both hops and roast. I’m not REALLY a great fan of lactose sugars in my beer. 030412

Bottled@chriso pre-gbbf shindig 2012. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is black chocolate, roasted malts along with some slight lactic and toffeeish notes. Flavour is fruity, wooden, roasted malty along with some slight toffee and mild lactic notes.

Roasted aroma of caramel and bread.
Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel and licorice with notes of bread and roasted bread.
Sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty sweetish chocolate flavor with bitter hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Bottle @ Odense Late March Tasting, 2012. Pours nearly black with a small off white head. Chocolate, dark fruit and vague roast. Medium and smooth. Sweet. Dry roasted end. Ok.

Black color with creamy brownish head. Nice aroma, milk chocolate and cocoa. Very nice mouthfeel, round and smooth, with a good body strength; very pleasant chocolate flavor, with moderate residual sweetness, correct bitterness, with hidden hop qualities, some resins; long and balanced final.
Very drinkable, excellent result.

Bottle, 7.5%. The aroma has a little aroma hop to begin with, but quickly turns into coffee and roasted barley notes. Almost black colour, clear reddish shine. Big light brown head, fairly stable. The flavour starts off nicely roasted. Then comes some sweet liquorice, some alcohol, a good bitterness. A little creamy flavour as well. A good beer, but a little rough on the alcohol.
