3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a golden yellow color-unusual for a DIPA. Thin white head with clingy lacing. Aroma of pine with minor floral and citrus notes. Lots of citrus in the flavor with a rather mild hop bitter ending. While weak for a DIPA, a very drinkable, decent beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle shared by largadeer. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head that leaves a ring and light foam. Aroma is sweet malt and lots of really resinous hops, along with maybe a little citrus. Flavor is a little sweet and somewhat bitter. Very resinous on the hops without too much else going on. Average mouthfeel - good hop oils, medium body, and a little flatness. Solid east coast DIPA, but not amazing overall.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle. from Coles, but drank at Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY. Another solid Hop offering from Southern Tier. Piney resiny hop aroma. Citrusy piney hops. Solid well balanced agressive hop flavor with enough malt backbone to reign it in. Very good. Southern Tier rating #41

4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Finally. Had this wonderful concoction on tap previously, and been waiting on bottle distribution. That day has arrived, thank the Lord, and found a 6 Pack at my local Total Wine crying out to me to take home to use & abuse.
Appearance is surprisingly light--almost a pils/lager look to it. Aroma? VERY light hops standards, focusing on the piney smell rather than the citrusy. Smell is lighter than one would expect from a DIPA.
Taste? Innagoddadavida, baby!! A hops vine just sprouted out of the ground, grew to enormous Jack-in-the-Beanstalk proportions, and threaded its way through my tastebuds down my throat. Totally unexpected hoppy bitterness. "I like pleasure spiked with pain..." warbles Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and I’d have to agree.
Palate? Surprisingly smooth and dry after the hops kick in the ’nads.
Friends, I’d recommend this fine ale to my associates, and I’ll be sure to stock my beer cache with a sixer of this elixir. (That rhymes, kids.)

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a golden honey yellow color, with a big frothy white head. Aroma is filled with juicy ctiric hops, grapefruit, some malt and some tropical notes. Flavor is of grapefruit and citric hops, along with some pine on the back of your tounge. I also get some malts, bread, peach and slight amount of tropcial fruit like pineapple, but not as much as in the aroma. Body is light to medium, with a dry mouthfeel. The alcohol is very well hidden, and not traceable at all. Sord of reminds me of a weaker version of their Hoppe. But overall a good DIPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Paradiso Dupont. Finally a DIPA that doesn’t suck. Poured a clear yellow with a dense, rocky, cream colored head that had awesome retention and okay lace. Aroma is citrusy hops, fresh fruits, some ever so slight pale ale malt husks and grist in the aroma (sort of like dog food- but not in a bad way). Taste is sweet, citrusy, slight hop bitterness cut by tropical melons, cantaloupe, mango, cane sugar. Pretty yummy. 8+ abv is hidden.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From bottle. Nice hoppy aroma one this one, with apricot, grapefruit, and pine resin. Woody. Sweet malt notes, too. Terrific nose. Golden amber clear body with thin white lacing head. Medium thick body, luscious, with medium carbonation. Starts with nice sweetness. Sugary with light caramel and biscuit, carbonic acidity, and great citrus and apricot sweetness. Finish is medium bitter with pine and citrus rind, lingering sugar. Light bitter after.

Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso, courtesy of RJ - thank you sir! Bright golden yellow, edge head. Aroma of wet grass. Taste is very fresh and bright, easy to drink, with scant bitterness at the finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Another outstanding impy IPA! This one pours a dark golden color with a fairly thick and rich white head. The nose is full of hops, with hints of grass, resin, citrus and wood. The flavors are very bitter, dry and spicy, with lots of hops. There is a very nice balance going on here, too, with a light bready malt tone. The finish is once again very dry and spicy.
