3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pours hazy golden color with white head. Head dissipates quickly. Aroma is a mix of citrus hops and caramel malt. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is very bitter from the hops and has and nice counterbalance from the malt bringing a semi dry finish. Nice. Not overly sweet like most of their other offerings. Only knock on this one for me is smell. I prefer my IPA/IIPAís with a real citrus resinous hop blast. This one has some citrus, but too much malt in the nose for my liking. Its a personal preference. Aside from that its a solid beer.

6 pk Southern Tier Brewing Co. Light caramel in color medium carbonation sparkling fizzy head. Aromas of pine, citrus, herbal hops, esters of lime, light caramel under all. Flavors of herbal/citrus hops, sweet light caramel backbone, traces of slight grass. Zesty, medium aggressive hops, bitter end, alcohol goes well unnoticed. A great IPA with a signature hop flavor Iíve really only tasted and smelled in Southern Tier brews. Iíll have to try it fresh on tap or on tour next time Iím at the pub.

Wow what a neat beer from Southern Tier. Medium bodied not really full bodied for a double IPA. I can smell all the different hops blending together along with the malts mixing in there a bit as well. Nice refreshing mouth feel from a double great for the summer time. Not much head and no real lacing on the glass that I can tell. I can taste the different hops mixing together on the palate and I must say they blend together very well. You get slight citrus, bitter flavors, along with the sweet malts rounding it out. I like this one a lot actually. This seems slightly different but in a very good way from the other Southern Tier beers.

lasting for a fizzy head, good lacing for a fizzy head, very transparent yello, you could switch it into a macro swill drinkerís glass, an if he plugged his nose, might drink it by mistake -the aroma is fantastic mix of floral and piney, lots of grapefruit. Very lively medium mouth feel, bitter sweet, just enough malt to balance, not an iota extra. sessionable 8.2%? as long as you take 1 pull for everyone elseís 2

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
This poured a clear golden-orange. The head is rather thin but leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma has a strong floral hop character. Iím gonna go out on a limb and say this has some serious amounts of Simco hops to it. The taste has a strong brussel sprouts-like hoppy flavor, which I always get from simco hops. The body itself is medium-light and there isnít too much complexity. The aftertaste, however, also has a semi-sweet cakebread esther. This makes the aftertaste a rather pleasant experience though the actual aftertaste does not linger very long on the palate. Overall an excellent double ipa.

I love these hop brews where the aroma of hops twiks you in the nose as soon as you pop the cap, aroma settles to a piney citrusy hopping,a little on the soft side, some bready malting, taste is sweet malting and that combination of hops with a mix of pine ,citrus and herbel textures. Little hint of finishing alcohol. Lighter ,very drinkable Imperial IPA, nice to get something like this in 12 ozers

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tried both bottle and on tap at brewery. Preferred on tap. Subtle pine aroma with a golden, yellow body. Thin head that laces the glass. Flavor is that of an IPA with a little more flavor and alcohol content. Flavor begins sweet and is made up of pine, citrus and hops. lingering bitter aftertaste. Refreshing.

12oz bottle from Andersons in Toledo. Yellow-gold pour with and thinnish off-white head. Big aroma of citrus, vegetal and grass hops. Taste is a crisp caramel sweetness mixed with grain and the grass hops. A little one dimensional - but the dimension is good. Sharp carbonated medium to light texture. Very drinkable.
