COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not quite an imperial, but certainly not a standard India pale ale. Our double IPA is a hop lovers dream. Citrusy and clean with an incredible finish.

Pours a medium copper/amber with a smallish dense white head. Aroma is very subdued for a DIPA, medium sweet with hay and citrusy. Flavor really has a nice balance of light caramel malt and citrusy hops. Medium bodied, light carbonation. Another great hop centric beer from Southern Tier.

Aroma nice rich aroma. Sweet malts as base with wide bouquet of citric hops. Mango, lime and tangerine presented. 8-
Appearance deep golden with medium fine top.3+
Flavor and Palate : Full bodied, Clean straight malt work here . Smooth yet decisively bitter wave of hop followed. Lip smacking. Nice, even felt to be quiet balanced for double IPA. Good citric-green hops at finish with sweet malt at walls.

Pours gold into a snifter. White head recedes to hug rim. Pine and sweet honey aromas. Medium bodied with bread and nuts mixed with pine and resin. Well-balanced and little appearance of abv. Lasting grapefruit finish.

draft into a tulip @ Capones. Poured a golden amber with a one-finger white head which settle to a coating but staying around until I finished this. Lacing was lighter but present throughout as well. Nose was piney hops and citrus. Tasting revealed a well-balanced IPA - citrus (grapefruit, mango) predominated at the start, some sweetness of the malt in the middle, returning to citrus and a touch of dryness in the finish. This was not overly cloying nor sticky. Mouthfeel was light to medium but with healthy carbonation. At a little over 8%, I could do a few of these with no problem this summer.

20010-06-18. Crisp orange body with a modest off white head. 3+ Richly hoppy aroma, citrus, resiny green notes. 8+ Flavour is pleasantly bitter throughout, modest citrus, light resin and alcohol. Muddled citrus lingers. Little or no hint of the alcohol content. Smooth average to medium bodied palate. This benefited from catching me at the right time I suspect, but I really enjoyed this. (bottle - 12 oz) Hazy gold pour with almost no head. Very thin layer of white at the top. Mild nose with some nice spicy and flowery hops as well as some very light hints of grapefruit and orange zest. Citrus tastes are very prevalent at the start and move to a lightly sweet and almost astringent alcohol taste. The hops come through more at the finish with a light citrusy hint. Surprisingly clean finish with a lightly hoppy aftertaste. Not sure what the flavor in the middle was, but it was slightly off-putting to me.

12oz bottle from BOTW. Pours a bight melon orange with a thin head of white cream. Aroma is all citrus hops - bright and potent. Flavors are all about the hops as well. Resiny, bright and chewy - but the finish almost tastes creamy? Fairly smooth for the amount of bitterness. Good stuff.

Tastes of hops, grapefruit, crystal malt, tropical fruit, and pine. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, medium bitter, hop and crystal malt finish is dry. 8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Pours a crystal clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma isn’t anything crazy or overpowering, but what is there is very nice and subtle with a bit of fruit and piney hop flavor - pretty much what you’d expect. Flavor is quite bitter all the way through but with notes of fruit coming through just a tad. Overall though the main flavor is driven by the hops, which, depending on your taste could be a good or bad thing. I prefer DIPAs where the fruity flavors shine a bit more but for what this is its pretty good, and very drinkable. The bitterness is not overpowering by any means, and my palate doesn’t seem to be getting too blown out by it. Feels light and lively as you drink due to a higher than average amount of carbonation. A solid beer and something I’ll drink again, but there are several others in the style that I prefer. Serving type: bottle
