4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Golden orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit rind, light pine, and tangerine. Taste features bitter wet grass and pine needles upfront with enough citrus and sweet malt to keep this from being too overwhelming. Finish is clean and mildly bitter. Alcohol is well hidden. A nicely done DIPA.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2015 Underwhelming in appearance, though nicely laced the glass. This is strong, a little malty, and just not to my tastes for hops

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2014 Bottle. Fruity and pine aroma. Very smooth with a hoppy and citrus taste. Just a tad of bitterness with a mild after taste. All In all one of the better bottled IPA’s I have had.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Swan and Dolphin, 12th November 14. Drinks clean, flavour is fine, it’s fairly average and lacks any wow factor. Standard fayre

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold color with a white head that settles to a film. Aroma of citrus and malt. Medium body, taste of citrus & pine hops with some lightly toasted & bready malts. Little bit of citrus in the finish with some of the toasted malt, fairly clean, just a touch of dryness too. Not bad!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle. Bright yellow gold color. Medium- sized rocky white head. Rich toasted malt nose with obvious citrus hops. Intense bitter hops out of the gate. Peppery citrus with resiny notes. Slight biscuit malt in mid taste. Some vanilla and bitter lemon in finish. This is a great tasting DIPA at a good price.

From the bottle of a 6 pack into a pint glass. If you are looking to stare at a beer and admire it’s greatness, you might overlook this one, but if you are looking to drink a beer and admire it’s flavor you are in the right place. I could smell as soon as I poured the first that this was going to be a good one. The best part was it was $8.99 for the six, gotta love southside pricing.
