4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at New England Tap house Grille.
Comes to the table a slightly hazy light golden color with a smallish off white head that persists. Smells of hops, yeah no shit right? Pine and citrus with a bit of grapefruit and resin, light bready caramel malt provides a hint of balance. The flavor is fruity hops with lots of citrus and pine and a bit of caramel to round it all out. Solid but smooth hop bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. Nice smooth flavorful IPA, I really enjoyed this.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
aroma at first very grassy like a better version of a steinlager, later more apricot, malt, and toffee come through. Light sweet and dry, almost lager-ish body, hides its ABV well. A little too well balanced, too polite for a rude person like me.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Iím finding that the really bitter IPASís are not to my taste, but I like a good, smooth, relatively high ABV brew. This is such a one. Tasty, refreshing and not especially bitter. This goes for about $9 a six here in Western Mass, which is a good price for a fine brew.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear orangish yellow with small white head. Aroma is orange, subtle other sweet fruits. Tastes of bitter grapefruit and creamy caramel. Palate is light. Overall, more of a standard ipa than an imperial.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy straw, white head. Finally, some hop character out of New England craft IPA. Resiny hop nose. Tropical and piney hops dominate the flavor with just enough malt to be drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz pour. Yellow-gold pour with and thinnish off-white head. Big aroma of citrus, vegetal and grass hops. Taste is a crisp caramel sweetness mixed with grain and the grass hops. A little one dimensional - but the dimension is good. Sharp carbonated medium to light texture. Very drinkable.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled 4/4/13 and poured into a shaker pint on 5/23/13. $2.19 bottle.
Appearance: Looks like a Miller Lite -- CRYSTAL clear yellow color. An aggressive pour gave me almost a fist full of white, fluffy and soapy head, but it ultimately went down to and stayed at about two. Ridiculously nice lacing.
Smell: Floral, spicy, earthy, delicious. Very West Coast-esque.
Taste/feel: Like the smell. Surprisingly, thereís actually quite a bit of body to this. While Iíd expect that from the style, this poured looking rather thin. A good bit of sweet, hoppy, resinous flavors on the front, and a super tasty bready flavor from the malt on the finish. Thereís also a slight grainy flavor during some sips that Iím not much used to in IIPAs, but I enjoy it. Well balanced, easy drinking, refreshing. Very "juicy" tasting, with just maybe a slight drying on the finish due to the bitterness. Excellent body, and perfect carbonation. One of the most easy-to-drink IIPAs that Iíve had... no alcohol in the aroma, taste, or feel. Tasty as all get out.
Smells great, tastes fantastic ... screams West Coast IIPA for me, and I think it tastes a bit like a sweeter Torpedo by Sierra Nevada, if Iím remembering that beer correctly. Mind is blown that this beer *only* has a 91 rating, because this is outstanding... everything about it is right. The appearance, the smell, the taste, the feel, and even the price, even though itís a bit more expensive than some other similar beers.
TRY THIS BEER.

Draught. Pours copper with persistent white head. Super citrus nose. Cereal malt. Citrus flavor with a little malt. Needs more malt backbone. Good bitterness. Light body.
