Not quite an imperial, but certainly not a standard India pale ale. Our double IPA is a hop lovers dream. Citrusy and clean with an incredible finish.

A decent beer, but very ordinary. Aroma was nice at first. .A strong piney hop presence followed by a weird dusty smell. Pour was a nice, cloudy light gold with no bubbles and just a thin off white film for a head. Taste was alright. The hops are strong and resinous. Grapefruit and pine in the front and a very bitter and dry finish. The dustiness is faint, but still there. No malt to be found, which is not a bad thing. Slight alcohol warmth and good carbonation.

On Tap at Brewforia, Meridian, ID. Clear deep golden with a full fluffy and lasting off-white head. Very attractive glass. Light malty aroma with faint sweet honey and light citrus hop notes. Flavor is light and sweet like warms buttered honey wheat toast. I am surprised they are calling this a Double. Kind of. Citrusy and clean is right. Very nice

Pours a nice orangeish/yellow color with a small white head. Wonderful aromas of citrus hops and pine, and of caramel malts. Flavor is of floral citrus hops that is backed by a nicely balanced malt backbone. Like the discripton says, not quite a DIPA, but very clean and tasty!

Hazy, bright, orange/gold appearance with a small, off white head and light lacing. Hoppy aroma with prominent notes of resin and citrus. Soft fruit and sweet malts provide the backbone of the flavor, but the hop profile noted in the aroma reappears in the aftertaste and gives the finish a nice balance.

bottle. Pale orange colour, thin head. Aroma is pine and citrus hops. Taste is more malty than I expected; there are definitely hops here, but they do not dominate. Clean taste, maybe a little sweet for the style. Still pretty good.

Draught at Bishops Arms Mollbergs, Helsingborg. April 2011.
Rich and creamy hop aromas with a lot of tropical fruits, grapefruit, melons, peaches. A big sweet malt backbone is present in both aroma and in taste. Hoppy and sweet. A tad to sweet for me...

355ml bottle, 8.2% a/v Pours a slightly cloudy gold colour with a decent white head. Aroma is almost pure citrus hops, mostly grapefruit and a bit of orange. The taste is citrus hops as well, and just enough malt to back it up. This does not taste like an 8% beer at all. A great refreshing and clean beer for the hop lovers out there (myself included). Aftertaste is lovely!

Draft at ’Ma Che Siete’ in Rome. Great surprise to see this, will hold me over until I’m next in the states. Ginger and hops, robust, smooth, great bite. Lemonade, juicy and strong. Wonderful.

355 ml bottle @ Melkebaren, Sandnes. Amost clear, golden body with a small white head. Nice citric aroma dominated by grapefruit. Flavor is sweet malt, quite bitter and grapefruit with some caramel. Medium body. Aftertaste feels more dry and bitter. Not really complex or balanced, but a very nice IIPA beer for the hopheads.

Bottle. Looks awfully thin and pale, not what I typically think of as a double IPA. There is a strong hop aroma from the thin head. Taste is citrus that unfortunately evolves into a resinous, bitter aftertaste that lingers around.
