Not quite an imperial, but certainly not a standard India pale ale. Our double IPA is a hop lovers dream. Citrusy and clean with an incredible finish.

Pours clear yellow with little head. Malty aroma with some hops. Tastes malty and citrusy. A decent brew, but not as intense as I would expect from a double IPA.

Very little head, surprisingly light in colour, slightly cloudy, head dissipates very quickly. Again there’s a lot of gar Fruit,. Wit a fair bit of malt backup. Not ver intense for a double ipa, flavor is quite malty, limited hops. There is a hint of bitterness, a bit of sweetness, and just a tiny bit of citrus. It is an acceptable IPA, but not what I expect of a double.

Decent flavor. Well balanced across the board. Color is light as is the flavor. Nice but not exciting.

Clear golden amber pour with an ivory (quickly fading) head. Sharp, dank hop nose, pine, maybe a hint of citrus ... a bit grassy. Faint raisin malty notes upon warming. Flavor dominated by the hops (mostly a bitter blast) but faint malty notes can be detected at first (I get a raisin crystal malt note). Medium bodied mouthfeel with medium carbonation (I’d prefer just a tad more). Not bad .. but lacks the ’wow’ factor of the great ones.

12oz bottle 9/14/11 (Binny’s Plainfield Singles Rack)-46° in Snifter-Pours a clear goldenish amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of hops, citrus, malt, and grapefruit. This medium to full bodied brew is well balanced and doesn’t come across as a Double but it goes down smooth.

12 oz bottle bought in Denver and opened into pint glass in San Diego. Looks yellowy apricot. tastes a bit citrus and pale malty. Pretty decent double.

Bottle - 355ml. Beautiful hazy golden/orange body with a thin white foamy head. Fresh, complex hoppy aroma with malty, citrusy, and honeyish hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries grapefruit and citrusy notes. It ends with a long bitter finish. Very well done!

(Draught@Pikkulintu, rated 2011-08-31) Murky golden with a small, firm head. Woody and fruity hops, pale malt and grass in the nose. Flavor is exotic-fruity, lightly grassy and lemony, with a malty backbone. Quite full body with low CO2. A reasonably fruity and enjoyable DIPA, even as it doesn’t quite reach the level of exotic fruitiness I’d liked to see.

Floral sweet aroma. Starts with ripe pineapple and citrus. Flavor is quite sweet but it dries quickly and finishes with a dusty biscuit mouth feel and a pleasant bitterness.
