COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not quite an imperial, but certainly not a standard India pale ale. Our double IPA is a hop lovers dream. Citrusy and clean with an incredible finish.

Draught at Ørsted ølbar. Deep orange beer with a small off white head. Classic powerfull hop aroma, lots of citrus and flowers. Also some clear malty caramel and toffee along with alchohol. Strong and full body, lotsof malty caramel sweetness and alchohol with the hop biterness bing mainly aromatic. Abit too strong for my taste.

Bottle @ Sorbon, Bromma. Standard golden / yellow color, small slightly lacing white head. Smell hops, fruit, grapefruit, orange and bitter. Taste very fruity and hoppy, amazing how good! Fantastic Imperial/Double IPA. Full body, medium carbo.

A very nice IPA, huge body and lots of fruit coming from this beer. It’s not very bitter, it’s actually more on the sweet side. Very tasty beer.

haukur (1345) - Reykjavik, ICELAND - JUL 28, 2011
cloudy yellow, big firm head. Piney aroma, with huge amounts of oranges and apricots. Taste is a bit flat, heavy palate with a long finish. Under carbonated. Almost flat on the palate. Huge bitterness (which is good) but overwhelmed with the flatness.

Bottle. Pours a dark yellow with hints hints of brown and orange color and a medium white head. Sweet, resiny hop aroma. Sweet, citrus pine hop flavor. Flavor is quite good and not overpowered by the alcohol content, but I wish there was more to the flavor profile. Not as strong as hearty as they could be. A decent offering between a regular and imperial IPA but not particular memorable.

Poors nice golden with minimal head. Smells immediately of pine cones. Taste is similar not over-the-top hop. Kind of a clean finish doesn’t try the mouth to much.

This is a great beer. Hoppy and sweet with a nice balance of malts. Not overly potent but delivers great hop flavor. A really good choice.

Bottle poured with good carbonation that goes down to nice to a small ring. Color is golden to copper. Aroma is a piney hop flavor not over powering. Hop flavor turns slightly bitter but very drinkable. No overwhelming alcohol flavor or taste for a double ipa. Doesn’t taste like 8.2% abv. which makes it a little dangerous. (in a good way)

An amazingly fresh hop aroma arises as you pour this. Light pine, and grassy notes make up that character. In the mouth it’s smooth, drinkable and peppery. There is a little bitterness but it is PERFECTLY balanced out by the light and creamy maltiness. There is no overpowering flavour or alcohol heat here. Just a darned drinkable beer. It could be 4% for all I know.
