4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a hazy orange glow with rustic backbone. Taste is sweet at first, malt simmers right up, and then blends in with the hops are pour out like a slinky coming down the stairs. Not overpowering at all for a DIPA, which makes this one enjoyable. Frothy solid head dissapears in about 36 seconds to a thing layer that encompasses the pint glass. Great brew. 12oz bottle from Jarvis.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33 cl bought @ Domus Birrae (Rome, Italy). Amazing aroma, not so intense but undoubtly rich: papaya, mango, pineapple, melon, lime, white grapes. Some caramel and malmsey-like winy notes. Clear bright (seems totally unfiltered!) golden color, creamy medium white foam overlap by little bubbles. Syrupy body, most of aroma components with hint of white peaches; malt isnít heavy as I expected from such a nose impression, and thatís a pity. Not watery indeed, but weak (too weak for a DIPA) and crisp to be annoying. Astringent and spicy finish, Well hidden alcohol to its side, but I expected more. Deserves an enhancement, this one has great potential.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2011 Pours an extremely pale straw color. Crisp in a good way, but not quite as hoppy as I like a "double" IPA to be. Aroma is citrus hops. Taste is hoppy and seems like a little corn? To me Its okay, but it seems like the name of the modern craft beer game is having a solid IPA. Considering I could have gotten Stone for the same price, I donít know if Iíll get this one again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with nice lead. Lemon and hoppy taste with hay and grass. Doesnít quite taste like a double IPA, but very good nonetheless

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
From 12oz bottle. Certainly does taste like itís between an IPA and an imperial. Stronger and longer aftertaste than most, which has a very interesting spice notes to the citrus aroma.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a slightly off white head. Aroma is of citrus, but more on the sweet side. Not the normal grapefruit/orange, but more tropical like mango. The commercial description says "not quite an imperial" and I would have to agree. The flavors are of citrus and sweet malt, but a little underwhelming. No BIG flavors here. Where some IIPAs you wouldnít want to drink more than one or two in a sitting, this one is very easy to drink and quite nice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This poured a medium colored oranged with an off white head. Aroma was fresh citrus and piney hops but not overwhelming. Flavor was also medium bitterness, good amount of hop flavors, but a bit one dimensional and watery for a double IPA. Decent stuff for the price especially.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the CP&K, Pimlico. It pours golden yellow, with a thick fizzy white head and high carbonation. The nose is pine, resin, sweaty socks and green vegetables. The taste is dry, full of pine, resin, grapefruit, lime, lemon, orange peel, cream soda, hay and bread, with a moderate length bitter-sweet finish. Ok, but it clearly lies in the shadow of the itís bigger, bolder brother - Un*Earthly.
