3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft @ Dutchís. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma had a nice blend of hops featuring citrus and other fruits, resins, and some earthy notes. There are some biscuity malts as a base. The flavor has a pale malt base with lightly toasted biscuits. The hops center on resins, citrus and tropical fruits with some earthy bitterness. The finish is moderately bitter and somewhat dry. Medium to medium plus body.

Bottle. Light amber with a fading white head. Aroma has grapefruit, dishsoap, peach, oranges, pine. Taste has a very little biscuity malt, oranges, a touch of peach and firm bitterness. A little pepper along with various citrus flavours in a dry and quite bitter finish.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Poured a hazy yellowish color with a big pillowy white head. This is the only area this beer is really missing. Aroma was amazing. Grapefruit, very earthy, spruce, pine and hops. Flavor really exploded. Hops, hops and more hops. Pine and floral up front, some hop bitter in the aftertaste. Malty backbone. Some donít like this beer, thatís good, more for me because this beer was great.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. Bottle - Pours golden/orange with little frothy head, some lacing. Aroma is pine, citrus, yeast, sweet malt, and hops. Taste is what you would expect, hoppy; but actually not too terribly sweet. The malts definitely take a back seat here and given the somewhat medium body and regular carbonation and lighter mouthfeel you would never expect this beer to be over 8%. I never realized this was actually considered a double given the non-descript packaging (no mention of ABV) and the very reasonable price for a 6er (10.99). A very good bang for the buck beer.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great hoppy smell, very warm and alive. Appearance was a bit thicker than most IPAs. Taste was smooth for a double IPA. Very comparable to a hopslam without mass amounts of honey. A bit too much bitter at the end, but for 8.2%, very drinkable and tasty.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours gold with a thick off white head that lingers for quite some time and laces nicely. Very nice citrus hoppy aroma, bit of grapefruit, some pine, along with a light but noticeable malt note. Medium bodied and surprisingly smooth, more hop flavor on the palate with enough malt to keep it balanced. Bitterness on the finish is fairly subdued. You get just a hint of alcoholic warmth on the back of the throat, but definitely doesnít feel like itís over 8%. Perfect when youíre looking for something thatís a bit more flavorful than a standard IPA but not quite as overwhelming as an imperial. Flavorful but still very drinkable and even refreshing. Without a doubt better than their standard IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle... Poured a vibrant, golden/yellow with a thick white head, lots of lacing along the walls of the glass. Citrusly hopped nose, maryjane-like. Nicely dry, clean, popcorn, grass, and pine notes. Hops had a lot of citrus. Straight forward, but well made for sure.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Citrus, pine, some lighter tropical fruity notes as well as light pale/base malt. Pours light golden, thin bubbly head, light lace. Good clarity. Flavors of pine, citrus, light apricot/peach, base malt, light malt sweetness. Lingering piney flavors and light resins. Nice drinkability for style. A pretty solid beer IMO.
