3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sharp lily pollen aroma, borders on offensive. Little catty, when i dive in i discover a little honeycomb. Surprising aromatics. Pale gold, sticky white head. More honeycomb on the sip, dries out quickly with an herbal midpalate, eases into a nice finish as doughy malt and citrusy hops come through as something familiar in the end. 030911 Nearly 24 hours later I opened my second bottle. Much better. More direct aromatics, guessing simcoe and summit in this one. Lightly toasted biscuit plays nicely with the amped up hop oils. Stronger than the single ipa, more tame than the unearthly, and maintains its own character in the process.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber color with very small off-white head that left a little bit of lacing. Aroma mostly of citrus. Flavors of citrus/grapefruit, grass, and some kind of fruit, maybe mango or apricot? Dry and bitter finish. A decent Double IPA, I was actually kind of disappointed with this, as usually Southern Tierís big beers are top notch.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught@Akkurat, Stockholm. Goldeny orange colour with a mediumsized white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is rather fruity and floral with some parfumed soap as well as mild earthy and malty notes. Flavour is rather similar with also some slight alcohol lurking. Mouthdrying. Chugging the last half of this was not the smartest thing Iíve done...

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured into a snifter.
4.0 A: Clear medium orange color. Two fingers of thick creamy just-off white head quickly falls to one finger, then sticks around for a while. Good sized ring of lacing.
5.0 S: The nose on this is incredibly powerful, but also incredibly pleasant. A blind man with a cold would be able to figure out there was a beer in the room based on the force that this puts out. Massively flowery with candied and re-candied pineapple, mango, and mandarin orange. Lemongrass with just a touch of caramel and biscuity malts.
4.5 T: Pineapple, orange, and grapefruit kick this one off. There is a bit of sugary sweetness in the taste as well, but nowhere near as strong as the nose (which is a good thing). Mango and lemon are secondary. Bitterness is moderate, but pretty soft - this is all about the hop flavor. Thereís a bit more caramel than in the nose and perhaps a bit more biscuity as well.
4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy and smooth. A bit of warming on finish, but otherwise the ABV is hidden well No problems here.
4.0 D: Very nice west coast style DIPA. Great smell and great taste, but from experience the candied fruit aspect becomes too much three or so bottles in. Still a damn good beer at an even better price.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. No best by date but I think itís pretty fresh.
Pours a clear gold with hints of peach and a soapy white head. I like the lacing that it leaves as well.
The smell has a distinct tropical tone. A good smell but it doesnít always translate in the taste. It smells a bit like HopSlam as well.
The taste is decent. It has a decent amount of acidic tropical tomato but also some citrus, raw hop cone, and a slight bitterness. It is a sweeter ipa.
This is an okay attempt, but not one of my more well-likes DIPAs.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. A very fresh aroma, nicely hopped and mellow dipa. A fair of nutty herb and grass, along with melons, light mangos, backing caramel and lightly toasted grains on the nose. Very pleasant and refreshing right from the pour. Appearance wise, a good solid, creamy milk white head that leaves some clumpy bubbled lacing, with a clean/crisp looking golden orange that is actually very opaque. Mouthfeel is slightly soapy, well bittered, medium bodied, and very nicely balanced. Toasted, nutty grains and light caramel right in the start, with more fruity notes coming after with light melons, and mixed bitter citrus fruits. Finishes nice and crisply bitter with more of a herbal, resiny hop profile. Overall, this was a nice tweener ipa. I liked.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2013 Pours a golden straw with a medium, very fluffy white head. Big hops but backed with some very sweet malts. Sweet fruits are very prominant (mandarin, lime, passionfruit). Very well balanced beer. Sweet caramel malt backing with a rush of hops to finish. Lots of citric and pine come into play. ABV is hidden well. A very well balanced and flavoursome IPA. Quality
