COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not quite an imperial, but certainly not a standard India pale ale. Our double IPA is a hop lovers dream. Citrusy and clean with an incredible finish.

Yellow gold and sparkling with fine and sparse carbonation. A mere, wafer-thin island of white floats meekly on the surface. Weedy and spicy hops dominate the nose with a little lime juice, sweaty socks and dank liquor, and apple cider vinegar leaving me unenticed. Thin, oily palate. Resinous, pineforest hops make up the most. Carbonation is low. Low grain; not enough for balance. Alcohol is not exactly shy offering a soft, medicinal burn to the finish. Lemon and lime, lemon candy and weeds linger in the taste as does that dank, almost cat pee-like flavour from the aroma. The polar opposite of their brilliant Pale ale. Not the best! Pours golden and clear. Descent amount of dry hops come through in the nose. Tastes a bit oniony, but overall a very nice double ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a smallish off-white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves good lacing. Grapefruit and pine hops mix with caramel malt in the aroma. Pine hops introduce it, with strong grapefruit coming in to follow. These give way to strong caramel malt in the mid-palate, which gives it some body. Pine hops reappear in the finish. This is a decent beer, with a good balance between hops and body. It could do, however, with some more interesting hops flavours. It’s not a bad beer by any means, but it doesn’t really stand out from the crowd.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a clear light golden with a small white head. Nose has lemon citrus, caramel and grapefruit. Doesn't have that bold hoppiness that a double ipa presents. Tastes incredibly sessionable. Citrus hop bitterness dominates the taste. Hints of lemon, floral grassy hops and biscuit are in there too. This is more of an ipa than a 2ipa. Dont get That Chewy malty 2ipa bitterness that I was after. Pretty damn easy to drink good stuff overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cold half pint from Keg. Light orange with white head. Smells of grapefruit. Quite big caramel to start the taste, moves to spice with a bit of a watery grapefruit finish. Bit of alcohol noticeable which brings a sharpness. Mid body. It’s not bad at all.

Shared a bottle with good friends in the Alaskan wilderness. Notes of pine, citrusy, grassy, malty, very bitter. The bitterness made this out of balance even for this style.

Okay, it's nice and flavorful, but it's also a little thin. My friend with defective taste buds thinks it has some "off" notes, but I don't. I just wish it had a richer flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
