COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not quite an imperial, but certainly not a standard India pale ale. Our double IPA is a hop lovers dream. Citrusy and clean with an incredible finish.

A pale, golden brew, pretty hazy. 2 finger foamy white head settles to a thin top. Sporadic lacing left on the glass. The aroma is straight hops off the bat. Very pungent citrus. Pink grapefruit. This is really a nice smelling beer. Much like the aroma I am getting all out juicy, bitter grapefruit on the tongue. A subtle grain background. Some caramel. The malt actually holds up pretty well to the big hop flavor. Some nice, bitter bite at the finish and into a medium length after taste. Medium body, smooth mouth feel. This is a fruity, citrus bomb, plenty of delicious hop flavor but not over the top. Actually drinks pretty easily. I like it, I Like it a lot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2015 bottle. Cloudy golden orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is malt and citrus. Taste is all about the hops. Big sharp pine bitterness up front that gives way to a chalky astringency. Orange and malt are barely an aftertaste. Little detectable sweetness. Puckering mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from Wegmans, Buffalo, NY. An amber pour with a tight white head; classic piney aroma; thick and resinous in the mouth with an unusually smooth piney bitterness; and a rich warming citrus finish. Excellent.

Overall, itís really quite good with the alcohol completely hidden. I would have liked a little more aroma from the nose but itís very good with lots of citrusy hop notes. Taste is better with plenty of resiny hop flavor with some citrus too. The finish is not quite as bitter as you might expect with a somewhat smooth lingering hop flavor.

Bottle from World Market. Hazy golden/straw in color. Aroma is quite sweet with a bit of hoppiness. Hops and sweetness up front, followed by a bit of breadiness. Not a great 2IPA.
