3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a smallish off-white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves good lacing. Grapefruit and pine hops mix with caramel malt in the aroma. Pine hops introduce it, with strong grapefruit coming in to follow. These give way to strong caramel malt in the mid-palate, which gives it some body. Pine hops reappear in the finish. This is a decent beer, with a good balance between hops and body. It could do, however, with some more interesting hops flavours. Itís not a bad beer by any means, but it doesnít really stand out from the crowd.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from 12oz bottle a mostly clear orange body with a small to average sized bright white frothy head, that stays in the middle. Aroma is hoppy, piney, resinous, caramel, citrus, apricot, grapes, toasted malts, light berries. Flavour really much of the same, strong grapefruit, pine and orange, again apricots, tangy malts, moderate bitterness, light sourness and a long hoppy finish. Really excellent DIPA, my go to beer when visiting my In-Laws in Baltimore.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
"Melon and lots of citrus on the nose and on the palate. Not light, but lighter than Maharaja (which followed) and GKnight (which preceded). Just the fact that this was a 12 week old bottle (older than both of the other elites by a large margin) and it still held itís ground deserves kudos. Fairly long shelf life it seems, though Iíd bet itís even better relatively fresh. Want to try it within a month one day."
