3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A wonderful winter seasonal brew with a bite. I don’t taste the figs as much as as orange peel and nutmeg, it definitely hits the mark as an xmas beer. Quite drinkable on it’s own and wonderful with a warm bowl of curry. Pleasant carbonation, a bit sweeter than I normally like but you can’t tell this is a double caliber abv. Would definitely buy again, I’m not sure I would want to drink more than one in a sitting though.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep copper, slight off white head...nice lacing. Cinnamon and orange nose. Pine and spices are strong at the start, some slight bittering hops mix in. Nice amount of carbonation. Much more complex than I’m making it out to be.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a deep ruby with a thin, white head. Aroma of fruitcake, raisins. Taste is malty with a little bit of fruit (cherry?) in there. Much drier finish than I expected.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a cloudy and hazy deep amber-brown color with a dark orange hue and a large foamy off-white head with average retention, good lacing and cling. Its aroma featured notes of spice, pumpkin, grains, and yeast, along with some fruity and floral tones. The taste was a sweet fruity and floral component mixed with a deeply bitter and sour grainy effect. It is fairly wet and lively with average carbonation and a thinner mouthfeel. Thank you Siobhan!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from ABC on Apalachee. Brown pour, off-white head. Aroma is cinnamon spices, dark fruit. Tastes are strong spices - cardamom, clove, cinnamon. Also caramel and dark bread. I would have thought that the strong spices would have put me off, but I like this in comparison to other xmas brews. It’s not too sweet.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very spicy aroma, anise, cinnamon. Darn good at first but becomes a bit harder to drink further down the glass. A more subtle approach would have, benefited it.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a clear deep amber with an average size long-lasting frothy tan head. Aroma has lots of spice first -- cinnamon, ginger and more -- followed by dark fruit, a bit of alcohol and caramel malt. Spicy, fruity flavour along with caramel malt. Alcohol is reasonably well hidden. Medium bodied. Really spicy and I really like it!
